About this project
This will be a 35 minute “fan film” involving the comic book character "Batgirl" among others.
It will be shot in HD for showcase on Youtube.
We're hoping to raise about 25% of what the total production costs will be. The rest will be financed by the filmmakers themselves.
The story will have of a film noir and horror vibe...Think of an Elseworld comic coming to the screen and that’s what you’ll have with BATGIRL: Vampire Nights. Long cherished characters may die and the twists will be unexpected as we are operating outside the Hollywood expectation of things; anything can happen and anything will happen to the characters. We are aiming for an April shooting date with a release in May or June of 2012. Could be sooner or later, depending on the success of our fundraising campaign. Donations will go toward cost of the costumes and extensive post-production work. The cast below is subject to change. As of now, some of the actors involved include:

Below are some stills from the 2008 "Killing Batgirl" short. The short had garnered over 130,000 views on Youtube before we took it down. Now with better equipment and more experience we can do a much better job.

Richard Poché has been one of the most prolific directors in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2002 with over 18 shorts and features to his credit. His works include boxing documentaries "Corazón" and "The Fight Life" both of which were featured in local film festivals. His vampire feature, "Crimson", premiered at the Fantaspoa Film Festival in Brazil as well as garnering placement in Blockbuster, Sam Goody's, and Netflix.
Numerous local actors have gotten their start with his projects and have used their clips to gain agency representation as well going on to land roles in "True Blood", "Entourage", "CSI", and NBC's "Trauma."
