(Piece Fest theme by Kev Hicks; produced by DJ Lethal & C Lance)

About Piece Fest: Welcome to LA's first MUSIC & STREET-ART FESTIVAL! We are bringing together some of LA's hottest new bands and most talented street artists to celebrate this burgeoning artistic movement.  The event will be held at The Graff Lab, an urban sanctuary for artists, kids, and young adults that opened after the Los Angeles public school district cut its after-school art programs in 2006. World famous for its graffiti and aerosol art, the Graff Lab is dedicated to providing artists with a safe space to develop their skills. At the Graff Lab artists don’t have to worry about getting harassed by the police or by gangsters; they are free to concentrate on their craft. But the Graff Lab is more than a public art space. The Graff Lab offers free tutoring, counseling, dance & music lessons to adults & kids. To support this cause, we're throwing a street art & music festival. During the festival, we'll be filming the pilot for a competition show about Street Art featuring celebrity judges, hosts, & performers. Some of Our performers include DJ Lethal of House of Pain & Limp Bizkit, Andre Legacy, Shifty from Crazy Town, kev Hicks, Patience Price, The Public Trust, Luxury Kills, G.E.E.K., & many more.

About ‘The Chosen One’ TV Show: From Executive Producer David Arquette & Producer Leor 'DJ Lethal' Dimant comes a graffiti based competition show created by Kelly ‘Risk’ Graval & Corin Nemec currently titled ‘The Chosen One’. TCO is a graffiti battle that challenges two artists to incorporate a Major Commercial Brand's logo into a mural using their specific style. The competition will take place at Piece Fest, modeled after other Street Art & Music Festivals. There will be live performances, merchandising booths, food trucks, a public art wall, as well as an art gallery featuring World Renowned Graffiti Artists. At the end of the ten-hour event a Panel of Celebrity judges from the Arts, Entertainment, and Advertising industries will crown one of the artists THE CHOSEN ONE.

DJ Lethal Presents: Headlining: Andre Legacy, Special Performances by Shifty from Crazy Town & Kev Hicks. Other Performers include Cminus, Patience Price, Luxury Kills, The Public Trust, G.E.E.K., The LA Breakers, and many more.

Our panel of judges include David Faustino (Married With Children, Legend of Korra, Old Scratch Record (Co-Founder)), Shifty from Crazy Town, Peter Mays (Executive Director, LA Art Association), and a special appearance by world renowned graffiti artist Seen.

‎"There is here no measuring with time, no year matters, and ten years are nothing. Being an artist means, not reckoning and counting, but ripening like the tree which does not force its sap and stands confident in the storms of spring without the fear that after them may come no summer. It does come. But it comes only to the patient, who are there as though eternity lay before them, so unconcernedly still and wide. I learn it daily, learn it with pain to which I am grateful: patience is everything!"~ Rainer Maria Rilke

We are very fortunate and grateful to have such wonderful and influential people involved but this is where you come in. As of now we are able to simply put on the festival. Which will not only consist of the filming of the competition and performances but an interactive day of galleries, art walks, food, merchandising booths, and much much more. Our goal is to raise money for the generous people at Graff Lab who have agreed to let us use their space. We are firm believers of art as an expression of life and want to provide that opportunity for anyone with a desire. The $13,000 will allow us to put on a bigger and more enjoyable event as well as spread a little love into the world and to Graff Lab. The money raised will help Graff Lab upgrade their facilities and provide much needed funds to expand & continue offering after-school programs. So please help us help Graff Lab and inner city youth of Los Angeles.

Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter

The only obstacle in our way is the funding. If we do not raise the needed funds on kickstarter then we will not be able to pay for the necessary post production activities needed for the footage we shot at the festival to raise awareness for Graff Lab & after-school programs in Los Angeles. To complete the editing of the footage we shot and take this project to the next level, we need to raise in full the amount specified. The festival just took place and the money we had covered most of the production costs, including paying Graff Lab a large portion of our funds to help support their cause. We just need a bit more to cover our post production needs.
