I think someone at the post office has a soft spot for you - glad it arrived all right!
For this (and any other queries), please try either our GetSatisfaction forums - http://tri.gg/support - or e-mailing our support e-mail on support@tri.gg
Thank you!

I don't know if it was intervention on your part or because someone in the post office call center felt for me, but my TT arrived yesterday, without my signature.
Now I just have to figure out why the camera-to-TT adapter does not fit in the TT, unless I put the TT mobile adapter in between them.

The post office will return to sender if it doesn't get delivered while I am around.

"If they don't deliever next Saturday, or if they come during a time while I've had to step out, I expect a refund"
Dear Sharp: I'm frightfully sorry, but I'm afraid that one is firmly in the post office's court.
Creator Sharp on July 21, 2012
...and in rereading my comment, I'm reminded of the importance of proofreading, especially when slightly agitated.
Creator Sharp on July 21, 2012
I have not recieved my TT yet. The post office has sent pink slips telling me they've tried to deliver the TT but I have not been home to sign for it. I work 9-5. I've scheduled redelivery for Saturday (today,) but it didn't come with the mail. They say they are going to reschedule for next Saturday, but I have to be home to sign for it because it is "registed" mail. No hope of picking it up, as the pickup location is basically out of town and I don't own a car, just a bike.
Basically, I am being kept at home for two Saturdays (one of my days off) in a row to wait for this stupid package. And I am moving to Pennsylvania just a few days later. I expect this nonsense from the cable company, not while trying to recieve a $75 package. And I wouldn't have to deal with it if you had just shipped "non-registered," FedEx, or UPS just like everyone else.
If they don't deliever next Saturday, or if they come during a time while I've had to step out, I expect a refund. I don't being stuck at home two Saturdays in a row right before I have to move. Time is money.

Still did not get mine.
Creator David Dyer-Bennet on July 11, 2012
Certainly I was a bit disappointed by some of the schedule slips. But I understood from the beginning that you were relatively new to this international contract manufacturing thing, and that I was taking a risk by supporting your project. I was also disappointed that your second product was iPhone specific, since I avoid Apple and have an Android phone myself -- but I was never sure that was a bad choice on your part, and you say there turn out to be issues doing some things you need on Android. AND you say you're still working on something for Android, so I'm glad I haven't given away my phone dongle yet :-).
I was also kind of unhappy to see one side of the case fully open, and to see that I needed to unscrew things and unplug internal connectors to change batteries. In fact I haven't put batteries in it yet, I just power it from a USB cable so far. But I imagine a fancier case is yet more expensive.
But in the end and after considering it all, I'm pleased that I supported your project, and pleased with what I got; few commercial products are actually perfect, in my experience. What I got is useful, and a heck of a bargain for the $75 I put in. Congratulations, and good luck going forward from here!

Creator Haje Jan Kamps on July 11, 2012
Dear Mark: We did consider including a pony as well, but there were some minor shipping issues ;)
Dear Michel: I'm sorry you are disappointed. Some of the issues you are discussing are addressed in our support forums: See http://tri.gg/support and post your questions there, please!

I just receive myTT in Paris (France) and the first think Is that I'm very, very dispointed. A poor DIY will be more 'professional'! It requires a screwdriver to set the batteries which are poorly tied to the board/case (how many hours before I need my soldering iron and a lot of glue), the swrew are directly on the case without any prote ction, of course the Nikon D90 cable doesn't fit in the TT connector (bad jack size), the display is nearly unreadable, the sensitive touch buttons seems to 'sense' what they want, poor documentation (may we have a real PDF User Manual?).... I
I'm waiting my other backed camera triggers (Tilelapse+ and Trigger Happy) which looks like a little more professional.
Creator Mark Derail on July 10, 2012
OK, just received mine today by courrier, in Montreal, Canada.
Just to be clear - I'm soooooooooo disappointed it doesn't have integrated LiON power pack w/wireless charging in a case rated for 100 feet...
IOW, the removal of "one side" to fit the pcb inside, is in my opinion an acceptable compromise.
Please post somewhere on Kickstarter a PDF user manual...

Ok, I received my package from HK Post today. Instead of a Trigger Trap, I got a Seeeduino V3.0 item # ARD128D2P. I did get the triggertrap mobile dongle. What's the deal?
Creator Jose Hevia on July 7, 2012
Received my TT, now with the triggertrap mobile free version with the dongle connected when I load the app on the iphone it displays the TT logo fro two seconds and disappears. Is that normal?.
I am in Spain , the TT page says my iphone serial number should work fine.
I could not connect the TT to my Sony nex5 yet(I will hack a solution) but it should display something, as even with the camera connected it should be an open circuit.

The link you've posted below doesn't work as I don't have an @triggertrap.com google log in. I've re-posted my questions to the get satisfaction page instead.
Creator Bill Griggs on July 5, 2012
Well I got my trigger trap and dongle . The product looks good and seems to work. There are a few minor things I will have to look into but (I haven't read the docs yet) I think it will be fine. The battery holder rattle around in mine to. The touch buttons seem to be too sensitive but that might be adjustable through programming. I will experiment with the features and see what I can do with it.
One annoying feature of the Dongle is that it takes a connector which is a different size than the trigger trap. Because of this you have to buy a separate cable from the one that Triggertrap provided for your Canon camera. Using the same size jack on both products should have been a no brainer.

Quick addendum:
- The screws took some tightening and the button panel isn't loose any more.
- The battery holder is however. Only the wires are holding it down and it flops around. I'm worried the wires will break if the holder isn't glued into place.
- Off is only on when on USB power. With batteries on is on...not sure how that works but it's extremely counter intuitive and doesn't seem to be referenced in the manual.
- On batteries the sound levels still seem out of whack and performance is unpredictable...not a good trait for a shutter trigger.
...perhaps Haje or Ziah can fill us in on what's going on...maybe I have a dud.
Creator Dave Tameling on July 4, 2012
Picked mine up today.
Quick set of first impressions:
- The button shield is loose because the case is a bit too deep. Given the issues they had with the casing, it's not the end of the world. It would have been easy to put some plastic washers in there however to fill the gap. The case is sturdy however and should stand up to normal use just fine.
- The on/off switch is backwards (off is on and on is off). I'll have to re-label the boards.
- I would have preferred thumb screws to get into the case. Not being able to swap batteries without a Philips screwdriver is annoying. This is fixable but it would have been better if it came that way.
- The sound sensor doesn't seem to work right. in a quiet room, measurement on the threshold calibration screen reads around 170. I can only get it to budge if I blow directly into the case hard and then it spikes to the maximum value of 255. This is running off of USB power. I haven't tried with batteries yet because I don't have a screw driver handy.
- The ambient light sensor is directional and unfortunately it's pointed directly at the button shield circuit board. The sensor is not very sensitive out the side or front of the case but is very sensitive if the light is coming in the side of the case at an angle coming from the face of the box. In average indoor fluorescent light, the difference in the recorded level can be up to 150 (out of 255) between pointing the right side of the box straight up and tilting it 45 degrees...and somewhere in between if the buttons are facing up. Be careful how you position the case if you're going to use the light sensor! I may try to reposition it some how but it's very close to the plastic case so there's no room to simply bend it over.
- Because the buttons are touch sensitive, hold the case from the sides or you will adjust the settings without realizing it. There is no beep or other indicator that this is happening other than the LCD display so be careful.

Really looking forward to seeing what you guys come up with!!!

I have been pretty outspoken about the wait and I finally received my Trigger Trap today. It has been a frustrating wait but the TT team finally delivered and for actually delivering the product I give them credit. If TT lives up to the expectations I think they will sell a bunch of these, especially now that, for the most part, they seem to have the engineering/manufacturing sorted out.

Just as a mini-update:
Last week, we were told we would be able to ship on May 28th.
Today, our manufacturer estimates May 30th.
We'll see what happens when May 30th rolls around, but at least there's some (excruciatingly slow) progress.
Creator Haje Jan Kamps on May 22, 2012
Hey,
We've had to order a load of new cases, and are waiting for more information from the factory re: how long it's going to take...
Creator Kristjan Ulfsson on May 22, 2012
Haje: Do you have any news on the case issues and/or shipping of the units ? Been playing around with the Triggertrap APP but it seems to me that I need the dongle to get the full experience ;-)
Creator Bill Griggs on May 8, 2012
When making molded part you need to specify a Draft angle for the part. The draft angle ensures that a part is slightly wider on the open end. This allows the part to be removed from the mold easier and it also allows for shrinkage during cooling. Your drawing didn't show a draft angle so the manufacturer probably didn't include one. I hope this info helps on your next endeavor.

Update #17 makes me a sad panda. I hope you guys get it sorted out sooner rather than later. I know there is a lot of them but something like Whitney's suggestion sounds like it might be the best way to go.
Creator Michael Meissner on May 8, 2012
Man, you guys have the worst luck. I had hoped to use TT for an event in June, but I may do a DIY solution myself. Unfortunately a shipping delay probably won't help your relations with Paypal (unless the triggertrap mobile indicates that you are shipping real products). Good luck.
Creator Dave Tameling on May 8, 2012
Haje: You may want to have F-Stoppers print a correction in their most recent blog posting about the new IOS app with the announcement of this new delay. They claim you've been making Trigger traps for some time now. It could come back to haunt later since in reality none have shipped.
Creator Whitney Sample on May 8, 2012
after reading your "Project Update #17" and being a fabricator and prototyper myself, I might suggest you try heating the casings in an oven set to about 170 F to no more then 250 F... if the casings are simply over-bent as you describe ( the tops narrower then the bottoms) you may be able to get them to relax enough to be useful... keep an eye on them during this process, at that relatively low temp the softening will be slow and gradual... then I would dip them in a pan of cool water to set the shape you like... with a little rigging you could arrange pockets in a grid of MDF (medium density fiberboard, hard wood composite at most big box stores)... placing the casings in the pockets and heating the whole thing until they all relax to fit the pockets would save you some time allowing you to do them in batches... if all you need is a slight change in shape, then I'd say you have a really good chance of salvaging them... once you find the right temp for your specific material/part shape, you'll find it goes rather quickly and easily... good luck -Whitney

I would also like to know what "shipping is imminent" means.
Creator Chris on May 3, 2012
gentlemen! could i humbly petition you for a more well-defined timeline of "shipping is imminent"? the annular solar eclipse is buzzing through my neck of the woods, and i would *LOVE* to use the TT to capture a time-lapse series.
much gratitude for your dedication and hard work for this effort!

@Peter
I have participated in half dozen projects over the last year. From my experience the time for a project to complete is often at least a year. That just seems about how long it really takes to take a product from design to manufacturing.
Creator Haje Jan Kamps on April 9, 2012
Dear Peter,
I refer you to the Kickstarter FAQ, under the heading 'I have not received my reward yet, what do I do': http://j.mp/where-is-my-reward
"Sometimes creators hit unexpected roadblocks, or simply underestimate how much work it takes to complete a project." and "Creators are expected to communicate these setbacks should they happen."
We have been extremely open about the whole process from beginning to end; We've posted 14 updates here on Kickstarter, more than 70 posts on our blog (see Triggertrap.com), and we have created a mailing list to keep our pre-order customers and backers informed (which I note you have not subscribed to).
Don't get me wrong, I completely understand where you are coming from - this is frustrating to all of us. I am sad that you don't feel the project is going forward.
But, I am afraid we will have to agree to disagree on a crucial point: You've given up. We haven't. And we won't, until everybody gets their Triggertraps. As such, I will not be issuing refunds: We need the money we have left to ship out the Triggertrap devices to everybody.
~ Haje
Creator Peter on April 7, 2012
I have requested a refund. While I am a firm believer in the Kickstarter plan, and a backer of several other projects, this one does not really seem to be moving forward and after 8 months I have given up.
