We hope you've enjoyed the holidays, NYE, and are having a great year so far!

Since the campaign has ended we've been hard at work selecting partners, evaluating the product for potential improvements, and we’re currently in the design/engineering stage for the final manufacturing-ready product. After that we’ll make a new series of pre-production prototypes to evaluate. Once we’re satisfied with these we’ll have the product certified, order components, make the injection mould, set up the production line, and make, assemble, and ship your bags. 

We’ve partnered with a firm in Taiwan to take Phorce from a prototype to a final manufacturing-ready product, and to manage the production process. We’re also working with a world-class app development agency in London to create a fantastic Phorce app for iOS and Android. 

After evaluating all your comments and ideas (thanks again for your input!), we’ve decided to include some of them in the final product: 
1- Bluetooth 4.0 + 2.1 EDR module. The prototype used old Bluetooth 2.1. For the final product we’ve decided to upgrade to a new dual-mode Bluetooth 4.0 + 2.1 ERD module. It’s more efficient and this makes your bag ‘future-proof’. What does this mean for device compatibility? Phorce will be able to connect to iPhone 4S and higher (iPhone 4S and 5), and virtually all Android phones.
2- Upgradeable. We’ve received a lot of requests to make Phorce for USB upgradeable to also power MacBooks. The prototypes were not upgradeable, but after receiving your requests and evaluating the design we’ve decided to go from 2 products (Phorce for USB and Phorce for Mac) to a single product: Phorce. For around $80 you’ll be able to buy a kit that enables you to power a MacBook on the go. The kit will be included free of charge for existing Phorce for Mac backers of course :) 

You'll have some very cool colors to choose from as color #4 aka ‘Voter’s Choice’ and we'll send out a survey this Friday so you can select your personal favorite. 

We're all working hard to make the final product as awesome as possible, and to get Phorce ready for production. We'll keep you in the loop on progress.
