About this project
Once upon a time, Erin wrote a script…a comedy about one woman’s inability to stay in love…several studios vied for it and lots of stuff happened and didn’t happen…meanwhile, in another part of the country, Carla started a development and production company….more stuff happened…eventually, Carla and Erin teamed up and………..this project has happily taken over our lives for the past two years while we’ve diligently taken the script that Erin wrote more than six years ago and re-worked scenes, added characters and animation, and ultimately, developed it from a single film script into an entire franchise with a multitude of products ranging from episodic series and Graphic Novels to clothing lines, video games and much, much more…there are also several additional feature films in the works. A truly humbling experience, we owe un-measureable amounts of gratitude to many individuals and companies who have educated and assisted us through this process including former Disney Animation Directors, well-known clothing designers, notable comic writers/artists, special effects and post engineers, sound designers, major studio distribution consultants and foreign sales agents among many, many others, including countless hours of free legal and financial advisement. We’ve got a tight, fine-tuned package and are now ready to enter the next phase and get this project underway. We have, however, gone as far as we can go by ourselves and it’s time to get the legal/financial peeps (and various other parties) officially involved. A very basic breakdown of where the funds will go is as follows: Attorney, Accountants, Artwork, and Travel/Lodging to meet with Investors. We will also be donating 50% of every dollar pledged past our goal amount to the World Wildlife Fund / Gulf Oil Spill Relief Fund. The critters are VERY important to us and it’s challenging to sit here asking for money to make a film when so many people, animals and coastline are fighting just to live. Phinn & London is a partnership between Groovy Stories (Carla Giampapa, CEO) and Erin Kruger. It is the culmination of two years of development and all started with a script that Erin wrote more than six years ago. Over the course of two years, the script has been developed in such a way that many additional products have stemmed from it, ultimately creating a franchise. The two lead characters from the script, Phinn and London, are at the core of this franchise and all products focus on one or the other Character or both.
Groovy Stories is a content development and production company. Formed in late 2008 by a collection of industry professionals with extensive experience in business and the film production industry, as well as, knowledge covering a range of aspects including marketing, advertising and the music industries, Groovy Stories is a cornucopia of talents committed and dedicated to the success of each of its projects. The principles hold numerous awards and are known for their accomplishments. With several projects in the pipeline, Phinn & London in “Love Is A Dairy Product” will be the first feature film slated for production.
