Update #8: Response to Chyiochan's Comment/Concern
Hi Chyiochan !
Thank you for the interest in the project! To answer your question, the way Kickstarter works is that the people who have pledged money to the production of the toy are only charged on June 3rd if the full amount for the project is reached (in this case, $15000)...if the full funding is not reached, then no one is charged and the toy is not made (that way no one is out money for a toy that would not actually be produced).
I hope that helps explain the process!

Update #7: 37% Funded!
I am excited that we are at 37% funded with 43 days left to go! I am hoping to get the word out more this next week to get as many more people as I can to see the project (and hopefully spur some more pledging to get us closer to the goal of making this toy a reality)! Update #6: 32% Funded, 69 Days to Go!
"Space Pussy" is 32% funded after three weeks (as of March 26th), thanks to everyone who has pledged so far!! I will be at the San Francisco Wondercon http://www.comic-con.org/wc/wc_artalley.php#list from April 2nd to April 4th at Artist Alley Table # 046, and it will be my main focus to promote this Kickstarter project (and hopefully bring in more pledges)! After two HUGE weeks, the kitty only raised 1% more this last week, which makes me a little worried about hitting the goal in time...so please spread the word to anyone you think might be interested in helping bring the toy to life!

Update #5: 31% Funded!!!! What a great two weeks!!
"Space Pussy" is 31% funded at the end of two weeks(as of March 19th), thank you everyone who has pledged so far! Please keep spreading the word, I feel very hopeful that this toy will come to life!

Update #3: How to Pledge for more than one "Space Pussy" Color!
Hi!
If you want to order more than one color of the "Space Pussy" toy, you'll need to pledge for one of the colors and then just add on the amount for the remaining colors you want...then let me now so I can keep track of who is getting what (this is what Kickstarter has told me to do since it does not allow people to pledge on more than one item on a given project). For example, if you wanted an Orange, Black, and Pink Kitty, you would select the pledge for the Pink Kitty but then pledge $175.00 total (and then let me know that the extra $100 was for 1 Black and 1 Orange Kitty).
I wish it was easier, but that's the way we have to do it...thanks for understanding and please write me if you have any questions!

Mike Gray is an award–winning writer, cartoonist, animator, director, and stand-up comedian who lives and works in Northern California. Mike's Studio, Pencil for Hire, has produced work for many animated projects and games including shorts for Nicktoons' “Ape Escape”, all animation for Fox's “The Garcia's” animated shorts, all animation, music, and voice-acting over for the “Royal Heist” animated slot machine, backgrounds and layouts for the “Chipper” animated dvd series, to name a few. As a writer, Mike was awarded 6th place in the 1995 Hanna-Barbera Storyboard Contest, Honorable Mention in the 1996 Hanna-Barbera Storyboard Contest, and 9th place in the 1997 Nickelodeon Storyboard Contest. Mike’s cartoon, “The Three Pigs,” which he wrote, animated, directed, and voiced, appeared in the 2002 Spike and Mike’s Sick and Twisted Festival and has recently gained a following on Youtube. As a stand-up comedian, Mike was a finalist in the 2005 Rooster T. Feathers 3rd Annual Amateur Stand-Up Comedy Competition. His cartoon, “The Infinite Goliath,” which he wrote, storyboarded, directed, co-created, and co-produced premiered on the “Random Cartoons” show on Nicktoons in January 17, 2009. His cartoon, “Thom Cat,” which he created, wrote, and co-produced, premiered on the “Random Cartoons” show on Nicktoons on January 31, 2009. “Thom Cat’s” awards include: Honorable Mention and Official Selection of the 4th Annual Brooklyn Kidsfilmfest of 2008, Official Selection of the 2008 & 2009 San Diego International Children’s Film Festival, and Official Selection of the 2008 Fire Island Festival.
