About this project
Hi and thank you for taking the time to read more our project, The Common Chef. This concept started out with a group of friends that loved to cook. We loved creating our own recipes and then pitting them against each other to see who could create the tastiest dish. We think that a great meal is more than just about the food, it’s about the experience. From shopping for the best ingredients to the cleaning of the last dish, it’s about friends, passion, creativity and fellowship.
Our goal here is to take this idea and develop a product that is ready for television. 6 full episodes that will be ready to air on any of a number of different cable, satellite and/or internet channels. Please take a moment to see some of the episodes we have already produced at http://thecommonchef.com.
These episodes were done a couple notches below a shoestring budget. Just think what we could do with your help. We need to raise funds to take our productions to the next level. An additional video editor a much better sound system and get some decent lighting and an actual camera crew. We want to put that extra polish on each episode. Our main focus will be online stations, satellite and cable TV, and the big networks. We can and will produce these episodes on a reasonably small budget per episode.
That’s why we’re here, we need your help. We have some very cool and (in our opinion at least) very unique rewards. So please pledge what you can, any amount will help and will be much appreciated. We look forward to chanting YOUR name in our “Circle Chant of Thanks”.

A Common Chef is an individual that knows a meal is much more than just the food on the table. It’s about the fun of creating new exciting dishes that stretch the imagination. It’s about the interaction between the Chef and the guests. It’s about coming to share an experience that transcends the taste buds and feeds the soul.

Unique tastes and combinations are the backbone of The Common Chef. We love to push the envelope and try new things. One of our sayings in the kitchen is “Do something that’s never been done before!” And we take it to heart with each and every creation. Weather its Black and Tan Pork or Mount Ridiculous we strive to take anything we do to the next level. But most of all it depends on whats left over in the fridge. We like to see just how creative we can get.

We are proud enough to say that We Do!!! That’s one of the reasons that we are here at Kickstarter. If we are going to make a serious ready for TV product, we have to up our production capabilities drastically. While we think the episodes that we have produced already are at least just as good as most shows around, we could never be satisfied with “just as good”. We have a drive to be the best, the top of the heap, the crème de la crème (I could actually keep going but I think you get the point). So to answer your question we do everything, from the conceptual planning of the shoot, to the last bit of post production.
