That's right folks, this is it: Just in time for Halloween, your 'Til Death Kickstarter reward packages are now ON THEIR WAY! Whoo-hoo!
I know it's been a long wait, but I wanted to expose the film on the festival circuit to see what kind of traction it would get. As it turns out, the festival play was rather rewarding. Playing primarily in genre festivals, 'Til Death was named Best Short Film (and also Best Horror) at the Dragon*Con Film Festival, and has 3 more festivals coming up the weekend before Halloween: Pollygrind Underground Film Festival (in Vegas), New Orleans Horror Film Festival, and the Charlotte Horror Film Festival. So if you're in any of those areas, come on down to support the film!
But in any case... Soon you will have your movie in your own hungry hands. I believe I have the correct address for all of you, but if you have moved in the last year or so, please be sure to email me to confirm I have the right address on record. And if any of you do NOT get a package in the next week or so, please let me know and I will resend.

BEST SHORT FILM
Oops. Sorry. I got so excited I spilled the beans in the headline. :)
My, it's been a hectic couple of weeks on the Til Death front. The big news (in case you haven't seen my posts on Facebook) is this: Til Death has been named BEST HORROR and BEST SHORT FILM at the Dragon*Con Film Festival. This is very good news, especially since Dragon*Con, which is a fantasy convention not unlike ComicCon, represents the exact target audience for our movie. WInning Best Horror is a terrific honor; being named Best of the Fest with the Best Short Film award is an even greater honor. Thanks to all of you involved for helping to get us here.
Meanwhile, our festival run continues. Coming up in the next couple of months are screenings at the Charlotte Horror Festival, Pollygrind Underground Festival (Vegas), Atlanta Horror Film Festival, and the New Orleans Horror Film Festival. More potential fests are pending, so hopefully this list will grow even more.
In the meantime, I am now (finally) securing our final rewards packages for shipment. I know it's been quite a while since we had started our venture, but real life does interfere and things do take time. But we're getting there! If you have moved in the last year, please contact me with your new info so you can receive your reward package. And if you'd like to opt out from receiving a rewards package (as some have), please let me know — my feelings won't be hurt! :) In any case, though, I hope to get all the packages out within the next 4-6 weeks or so.
And one final note — in all likelihood, I will be winding down these Kickstarter updates. Poster and LA Fest!
Hi all —
So it's turning into an eventful week for us all of a sudden! This Friday is our screening at the Sacramento Film Festival: http://www.californiafilm.net/events/surreal-cinema
And we've just gotten word that we've been accepted into the LA Fear & Fantasy Film Festival in May! http://fearandfantasy.com/ More info to come, but we'll be among genre fans and friends, and I'm eagerly looking forward to our screening there. Should be fun!
And then... as if that's not enough... the great Carina Berlin has created our poster, and it includes a terrific quote from The Horror Guru, a fantastic genre blogger. Of course I say Fantastic because he liked our movie. :) So check it out:

Sacramento Film Festival!
Hi all!
Sorry for the delay between updates — 'real life' has taken over (ugh!) and I am eager to return to the artistic life of 'TIL DEATH among other projects. I have also been waiting to see what kind of festival life this film may be developing... and as of next Friday, that life begins!
Some of you on Facebook may already know this: 'TIL DEATH has been accepted into the SACRAMENTO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL! We are screening soon, on Friday, 4/27, at 7:30p as part of the 'Surreal Cinema' block of shorts (link below). If you are in the NorCal area, please stop by! Would love to see you, and share the 'Til Death experience as it is intended to be shared: in a theatre, with an audience. If you're not in the area, though, we hope to be playing in a festival near you over the course of this year.
Over the next few months, I will finally be delivering the packages promised on Kickstarter. They may come to you bit by bit, rather than as a single package, but yes, they will be coming. Thank you for your patience and continuing support.
Also, so you'll know, I have plans to include 'Til Death as part of a larger project. 'Til Death will be the first of three shorts in an anthology feature called 3 IN THE DARK, which will be a collection of bedtime stories for adults, featuring romantic zombies ('Til Death), corporate vampires, and a killer curse, among other ghoulish delights. :) This project is still being developed, but I hope to be able to move forward with it in the months to come. Stay tuned for more information.
In the meantime... Hope to see you in SacTown! Or a festival near you in the near future!
