Hey! You know what I should have mentioned?
You can go to music.paulroub.com right now and download the CD. Today.
The actual CDs will be in my hands later this week, I'm told. They will also be available at music.paulroub.com.
Update #14: Masters in Hand
Update #13: Semi-Update
Not really an update since there's nothing concrete to report. But I thought I'd break radio silence for a minute, just to let you know things are moving along.
Heard from the mastering engineer that he may have the final CD master ready as early as today. There's been a lot of discussion back-and-forth between him, Mark Rubel (who recorded the CD) and myself; I'm really excited to hear how it's all turned out.
Once I have the mixes in hand, I'll be (1) getting the downloads set up for those of you who sponsored at the get-it-early level (2) sending it off to DiscMakers to be turned into shiny plastic objects for everyone and (3) working with TuneCore to begin the march toward iTunes, Amazon MP3, etc. availability. In that order.
Speaking of sponsors - if you chose the Evil League of Evil sponsorship level, now would be a good time to let me know what thing you're forcing me to record. I'll be recording some of those later this week, I think; although I may wait until they're all done and inflict the batch on everyone at once. I'll also probably include "liner notes" detailing the amount of drinking required for each.
And when all is said and done, maybe a list of the songs I feared would be chosen, but were not.
To sum up: watch this space, and your email, for notice of music to be downloaded. And email me with your Muskrat Loves and what-have-you. You magnificent bastards.
