Update #13: Thanks for helping to make my dream...
Hello Kickstarters,
Happy Holidays from the entire olloclip team...It has truly been an incredible 6-months since the olloclip launched on Kickstarter and we're not slowing down as we complete 2011 and enter 2012.
It is fantastic that the olloclip is in Apple Stores throughout the US and in select Canadian locations. From Kickstarter 'seed' to 'Apple' has been an incredible journey and without your help, this would never have been possible in such a short period time. We are so thrilled to have Apple as our first major retail partner. The olloclip is also in Best Buy this weekend and there are more retail partners signing up around the world.
Our web presence and social media channels continue to be a flurry of activity and we were delighted with the success our initial Photo Contests - of which we will be running at least one contest per month...In addition, we're going to be running FB, Twitter and Instagram campaigns focused on weekly images posted on Macro-Mondays, Wide-Angle Wednesdays and Fisheye Fridays where we'll pick random favorites. Be sure to 'like us' at facebook.com/olloclip , follow us on Twitter and Instagram @olloclip @Patricko.
We also want to encourage you to support the iPhoneography Show happening at the SOHO Gallery in downtown New York City. If you didn't get a copy of our December Newsletter, click here, to check out all the great press we've been getting with Wired Magazine, Instagram's CEO Kevin Systrom's endorsement and other tidbits of info.
And lastly we will be at CES in Las Vegas, as well as MacWorld in San Francisco, both of which are being held this January. If you're attending either, please stop by and say hello.
Most importantly, I sincerely hope that this time of year enables each of us to stop and reflect how very fortunate we are to live in a time and place where visions can become reality. And I can not thank you and the whole Kickstarter community enough for helping me make my dream into a reality.
Happy Holidays,
Patrick O'Neill, Inventor of the ollclip

Update #10: olloclip: You can have it your way
Wow...one thing we love about the Kickstarter project is the instant feedback - the collaborative spirit is what makes this process so great...
The greatest challenge with any project is crossing the chasm from project to marketable product...and part of that process is how you promote the brand you love so much.
The pictures we posted in our last update showed the olloclip with a sticker around the clip itself. Some love the look, others not so much...which is fine...and in the spirit of the Kickstarter process, we're going to let you decide how best to promote the product once you get it. So here's what we're going to do, we'll be shipping all the Kickstarter units 'naked' and we'll include a couple of stickers for you to apply where ever you like...If you're the silent but proud type, put a sticker on your olloclip...if you're going after the sleek pro-look then leave it off...the choice is yours....
We're so excited for you to get your very own olloclip that we can't wait to see you using it in action.
Remember, keep an eye out for the pre-shipment address verification email so we know everything's correct and we can get your olloclip in the mail as soon as possible...
Life's Short...take pictures of it!
Cheers,
Patrick
PS here are some pictures of the olloclip without the stickers. The text on the lens ring is designed to make the product easier to use and it is silkscreened on so we can't alter that.

Sweet, glad it's a sticker... I do like the text on the rims, though...

Dave, these are both without stickers. Have a look at update #9 to see what they look like with stickers.

Update #9: The olloclip will start shipping this week!!!!
Hello Kickstarters,
Rest assured we hear your anticipation via all the facebook posts, emails and Tweets we receive on a daily basis...and the good news is we will be ready to ship as early as this Friday. Cue soundtrack of throngs of screaming and cheering fans...
Thanks so much for your amazing support and patience. We are so pleased with the production version of the olloclip; we just know you will love yours. I have attached a couple of pictures so you can see what the final versions look like. Don't expect all the fancy packaging, we're still working that - for now, we just want you to get yours.
But there is one more step we need you to take. We will be sending out an address verification email very shortly under a separate system, not Kickstarter. It's absolutely imperative that you verify your email address via the link provided in that email. If you need to change any of your shipping information you can do so via the same page, i.e., your name, the address where you want us to ship your olloclip, etc.
We also still have a few people who didn't add in their international shipping fees...if that's you, we will also supply a payment link to do that; as well as a link to verify your shipping information per above.
Please look for this email to be sent within the next 24 hours and let us know if you don't receive yours as we're using a new email marketing solution to handle all of our correspondence and it's possible some providers will block or redirect the email to a spam or junk folder. Hopefully, this won't affect too many.
Please make sure you complete the verification link; as we will not ship your olloclip unit the shipping information has been verified by you. Once shipped, you will receive an email confirmation...
Thanks,
Patrick O'Neill

I have had a passion for photography and film since I was young boy. I still have my original Kodak super 8 camera I got when I was 10. I have taken about 250,000 pictures in the last 6 years; getting my first digital camera about 15 years ago, which of course did not have any add-on lenses and was only 640x480, but I loved it and was forever hooked.
Creating and designing computer accessories for over 20 years, and smart phone accessories for the past 10, I have always wanted to develop a product that melds my profession with my love of photography.
Patrick was born in Long Beach, CA; moved all over the USA growing up and moved to London to work in the computer industry in his early 20s. He lives in Huntington Beach, California and is a dual national UK/USA.
Hey Patrick, awesome news sir and Matt (Smooth) Cooper and me Roger (Venomator) Gilbert were among the original English partners ans the first to receive our Olloclips in the UK.
Since then our membership @ www.MobiTog.com has really fallen head over heels for your superb device and not only did we put up one of the first mini reviews of the product but have endless iMages from MobiMembers now being displayed amongst their work on the community site - they absolutely love their Olloclips... :)
Check out their awesome iMagery using your kit and see what we have got planned for the coming year @ MobiTog, including regular Olloclip Challenges - love your Fisheye Friday idea Patrick!
Keep up the good work and all the very best from me, Matt and everyone at MobiTog - THE iPhoneography Community for iPhoneographers with Olloclips everywhere!
