About this project
When Raven and Gabriel were just children their parents were slaughtered right before their eyes. If not for the quick actions of a good soul named Zachery they would have been next. Now that they are older they must use all of their wit and determination to hunt down and find those responsible for changing their lives forever.
What kind of movie is Requiem Beginnings ?
This movie is a wonderful blend of action, comedy, mystery and a little touch of the supernatural. There are lots of fight scenes with many different styles including capoera, judo, kickboxing, karate. It will have a great mix of strong male and female fighters and great choreography.
Requiem also has lots of comedy and a great cast that has worked together before and have great chemistry. There are lots of funny moments in this movies in order to break up the more serious aspects of this movie and bring you a more complete and fulfilling adventure
The mystery aspect of this film surrounds the death of the main characters parents. Raven and Gabriel's main goal is to find out who killed their parents and how to bring them to justice.
The supernatural element is of course the use of vampires in this movie. Even though we use these classic figures they will not be the usual pale bloodsuckers, they will be fun, sexy and full of personality.
Cast
While nothing is set in stone we do have a general idea of a few people we would like to be involved in this movie, with the help of your donations. The roles that are currently filled are the director, which will be the young lady who wrote the script, and editor which will be myself Patrick McGowan. We have a few ideas of who would be able to play the other roles but we are waiting until after we hopefully get funded.
Location
This film will be filmed in the greater Philadelphia are. We have most of our locations set, from gorgeous outdoor locations where huge battles will take place, to the dingy little nooks where our less reputable characters will reside. Some will have a more traditional look while others will have a more "techie" look to it. Each of these locations, and the way they're decorated, will show us something about the characters that occupy that space, so the scenery is as much part of characterization as the spoken lines.
Your Donations
Rest assured that if you decide to donate we will use 100% of your money to make this movie amazing. The cast and crew are so dedicated to this project they are all willing to work pro bono. The money will mostly be used on rental equipment we plan to use three cameras during shooting, two for cross shooting and one to float around and get specific angles. Along with these cameras we will also be renting mics, and tripods. The rest will go to our props, including teeth for our vampires.
If we are able to raise more money than our goal, we'll put that extra money towards better cameras, better equipment, more props and an extended filming period. The more money we raise, the better we can make this film.

Hey, I'm Patrick McGowan. I've learned about the various stages of Film Production, so now I'm trying it with my first budgeted film. Even though this is my first budgeted film I have made other movies both short and featured length with whatever resources I had at the time. I will be bringing many of the same crew members that I have worked with before, because I know that they all have very interesting and dynamic points of view and will give 110% to any project they are involved in, even if that means sleepless nights, and working and reworking until this film is absolutely perfect. Hopefully you will like requiem and this will be the first of many to come.
