Yummy, Little, Pretty Things
We are Alexandria Alexandria and Gabriel Lamont and we are starting a100% Handmade Artisan Bakehouse and Eatery that practice making everything from scratch! We make amazing foods using the freshest local natural and organic ingredients!
The Plan We are simple people really and just love our life as artists and crafts people that sell our work, and our goal is to make yummy things & pretty things to share with the world! We'd offer affordable prices on gourmet things. We'd only keep enough of the profits for our basic family life ----because as we all know cute little babies are expensive!--- and business expenses. The rest would go to shelters, be used to raise money for nonprofits and people who need us!
For example a percentage percentage of the Yummy, Little, Pretty Things Proceeds support the development of The House of Imagination. The House of Imagination is a unique physiological retreat designed to relax, inspire, educate, and provide the tools and space for an individual to create at no cost hence; offering a creative avenue for that individual to earn capital to invest in personal assessments or business ventures. Once our 4000 square foot place is up and running we envision it to be a place of eating, art (We'd offer free painting classes), and music! Besides just being a brick and mortar shop---offering free WiFi----, we'd like to develop an online cafe made for free online painting classes and crafting workshops!
Why we're raising funds: We use to hop from kitchen to kitchen baking our goods but now we just found the perfect space! We ourselves are obtaining the permits and licenses. Since we do everything by hand, we are lovingly using Kickstarter for some basic equipment such as : Oven, Fridge, Mixer, Food Processor, Pots & Pans, Specialty equipment (Donut cutters, etc), 100% Post Consumer Packaging Supplies and a few other things.
Our favorites that we make:
New York Cheesecake Truffles! Cheesecake dipped in White, Dark, Milk chocolate and
Butterscotch; then wrapped in Pistachios, Smoked almond, Cashews, Candied pecans,
coconut and the occasional Parmesan cheese.
CINNIMON YuM! A wonderful concoction of cinnamon goodness. Each bite is packed with the flavor of cinnamon and its rich cream cheese frosting.
Scrumptious Star Caramel-Pecan Shortbread Cookies! These Buttery Pecan shortbread cookies conceal a creamy, chewy caramel filling - these are indescribably delicious. Fresh chopped pecans enter a whole wheat flour batter that consist of no more than 6 simple ingredients bake for exactly 16 minutes. One crumbly cookie is placed atop another and homemade sweetly balanced caramel is dolloped between.

About our chai cheesecake:
OH. MY. DEAR. SWEET. HEAVEN. This is quite possibly the most delicious, decadent cheesecake I have ever tasted (don't tell my husband, the self-professed king of cheesecake!) and she included a sinfully rich, chewy and moist ginger cookie! The chai flavor in this is amazing, and went down (a little too) well with a cup of hot coffee and a little Etsy browsing. The size of it is PERFECT (any more and I would have gorged myself to death, I promise.) The little card was adorable! You can't go wrong with this chica, she was born with a whisk in one hand and an oven mitt on the other.

When we're not running our Non-profit we're baking! Our favorite time of the day, is when something Little, Pretty, and yummy exits the oven. We believe everything is much better when all natural, organic and local ingredients are used. Especially, when those ingredients are from your next door neighbor!
From our own zesty orange butter to own own beer, we Do-it-ourselves! And from scratch!
