Biscayne Blues is an independent short film that will be shot in the streets of Biscayne Boulevard and the waters of Biscayne Bay.

 In the story, the poet, Oscar Fuentes has fallen in love with the shadow of death, a raven haired beauty that lives in the emerald waters of Biscayne Bay, his Lady-death. The Poet enlists the help of his band, and in his classic ride, a 74 Dodge Dart, journeys to the underworld to face the succubus that has taken possession of his soul. 

 Before the poem became a song, Oscar Fuentes was inspired by the juxtaposition of the beauty of the boulevard and the blank stares of the street workers that gave the Boulevard its popularity. He was sensitive to the fact that the boulevard had become a place of refuge and rescue for those that had lost control, a place often invisible to the eyes of a world that didn't care.

 About the Director: Claudio Marcotulli Venezuelan/Italian/U.S Citizen.  Graduated in communication at  Emerson College, Boston, USA, with a master in film production at Miami International University of Art and Design. In his beginnings Claudio  worked as a freelance producer/ director  in Caracas Venezuela and with Bolivar Films creating permanent audio visual content for renown museums  such as  the El Museo de Los Niños and presentation for the Mendoza Foundation.  Later in 2003 moved back to Miami USA to pursue his master and soon after  worked in the  production of several features film such as The Valley Of Tears, Hiding Victoria, Document, Gringo Weeding and The Sleepwalker. Claudio worked three years at Venevision Continental and  produced/directed  a variety of content broadcasted trough this network. Since 2009 he has been an adjunct professor  at Miami Dade College teaching courses such as Writing for Electronic Media, Editing , TV  and Film Production.

The Funding: One of the things that excited us about funding through Kickstarter, is having a budget that allows us to pay the artists and film enthusiasts who are critical to the success of this project. The funding we gather will be put towards equipment rental, sets, costumes, props, and lighting equipment. Any extra money donated would go towards bigger and better production quality; including post-production costs like color correction and sound mastering.
