Events, Meetups and Build Nights

Hi all,

We hope your weekends are off to a good start! Thank you again for all the incredible support - 250+ Backers!! That's amazing! Thank you!!

We wanted to post an update about upcoming events as well as a tentative plan for this type of thing going forward.

First, we're hosting an event at TechShop in San Francisco on Tuesday July 24th (6:30). We'll bring one of the prototypes, but more importantly we'll be fielding any questions people have. It's going to be a great opportunity to meet other members of the community face to face. You can RSVP here. We're working on setting up a live streaming option for folks who can't make it in person. Keep an eye on the OpenROV blog.

If you can't make it, don't worry. We'll be having a number of these events going forward. Especially once the kits have shipped. It's a great way to share best-practices and share resources (like acrylic cement and epoxy). We'll host these around the country (and world) whenever we're traveling, but we'll also have a section of the website for members to organize them in their areas.
