So disappointed by this product. For something that's designed to hold your phone. It just doesn't. I recall the product was delayed because the first batch of suction cups were not up to scratch. Well, the final batch wasn't either. I've some cheap suction cups from the dollar store which are stronger and last longer than the Oona and they hold more weight. How one can get such a fundamental part of a product wrong is beyond me. The Oona is very unreliable and consequently pretty pointless. Caveat Emptor, people! You live and learn, with less money to burn..

POS product. First and last product I will purchase with a kickstarter account. Perhaps that's harsh but when you get as big a fail as the effin Oona it's all tainted. What a joke of a cradle. Laughable bad if I hadn't paid for it.

Disappointed with my OONA. It's pretty much nothing I needed it to be. Wouldn't stick to my window in my car for long unless I didn't want it to hold my iPhone. Didn't work as a desk stand either. Hopefully the next kickstarter project I back is better than this one. =(

Well, they were honest about one thing though (The Oona: Whatever You Need It To Be). So it turns out mine was destined to be a door stopper.

They are back on Kickstarter with a new product (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/552506690/brydge-ipad-do-more…) so I don't think they will be revisiting suction cups anymore. The Oona is dead.

    13. Untitled.thumb
      Suzanne Schiller on April 25

Sam -- Any plans to revisit the suction cups? Personally, I think your design is great, the packaging is great, everything about the product is great -- except it doesn't work. And it doesn't work only because of the suction issue. I think all of your backers would like to see you succeed. You collected a lot of money from us; it would be nice if we saw you using it to improve on this product. (Oh, and yeah, were *are* the post cards?)

      Garrick Anson on April 24

The Oona was a nice concept, but ended up being a less than stellar product. I have to say communication form the Oona team was (and continues to be) sub-par. As part of the pledge many of us were promised "...a personalized thank you postcard and a thank you tweet". It doesn't seem that ever happened, and looking at the comments below many people are still waiting for their product almost a 10 months after it's funding goal was achieved.
Not exactly a great Kickstarter success story.

      Scott on April 17

i can say it wasn't a scam. i got mine, but the device is less-than-stellar. the suction cups lose grip after only a few minutes, on pretty much any surface, including my iphone.

These guys are definitely running a scam. Yet another backer who has paid and not received anything yet. Try posting a dispute with amazon? Oh no, you can't because it's been longer than 105 days.

To any other people who have arrived here researching this product - keep the fuck away from this company (or whatever they call themselves). These guys are not only scammers, but their product is garbage (based on the comments below)

Did received it but the product really doesn't live up to its expectations, be careful with the idea of putting it against the car glass, it doesn't stick. Too bad, it did look like a great idea but it is not a good device, suction, as others have commented, is terrible. The little bag is that, too little, etc. One more something to the drawer. Disappointed

I'm in Copenhagen/Denmark and still haven't seen any trace of it.
I was also promised delivery a LONG time ago. I was too one of your first 500 backers and fully paid on May 31. The "quick updates" that claim that thousands have shipped really concerns me too!
What is going on? No one seems to care and no one reply to my messages. I´ve tried to contact you by email to know where is my oona but you still no answer.

Have been trying Oona for two months. Design is average, reliability is very low, even using the ugly stickers it falls down after some time.

It's a petty, it looked nice on the design stages but does not fulfill what it promised.

I received Oona 126/250 last week. It's golden and beautiful, smaller than I would have expected but it proofs to be very strong. It holds my iPhone very reliably (now that I write this it drops it :( ) and is very versatile. Good product!
Had to pay another 20$ on customs since the parcel wasn't correctly declared.

I got my Oonas yesterday and I'm very happy with it as a product. I think it does what it was designed to do. "Short time periods". As a desk stand it's beautiful, I tested it on both a window and a white board for extended (30 minutes plus) and worked perfect. Drove home (on Irish roads) with it on the window and was still very secure when I arrived home (40+ minutes) using the small suction cups.
I think the video raised the expectations too high for people and I must assume (based on feedback) that the quality of the suction cups varies.
I would recommend this as a product and will be using my 2nd one as a Christmas present (to someone I like)

Got my Oona today. (in South Korea)
Fist of all, I did not like the package.
It says too much about what it is. reminds my experience of buying a mediocre iPhone accessory.

      Like the metallic parts.
I guess the problem of suction cup is every time I tried, it makes uneven results. which means unpredictable. sometimes it holds my iPhone pretty well and sometimes it just fail to standing still.
large size suction cups are the worst part of the package. it needs more hardness.
besides my critical point of view, I like the whole experience of being a part of this project.
please give me a chance to enjoy with another great concept and product better than this time soon.
      thanks.

      got it in australia.
works fine if on the stand. if suction cupped on both ends it doesn't work.
logo: everyone in the office thought it was lipsticks.
box design: plain box would be more desirable.
bag: as bad as i expected so am not disappointed at all!

guess i could've bought a cheaper paper weight, but i wouldn't have had experienced the suspense of waiting for it.

      Oona received : Yeah !
      Oona tried : Fail !

The suction cup does not the job : my Motorola Milestone / Droid 2 falls after about 5-10 min (desk stand mode). I will NOT trust Oona to support it on a windshield / whiteboard / fridge. This smartphone is kinda heavy tho'.

Too bad I don't have a iPhone 4 : I'd go for the Glif (successful Kickstarted project). However, I'll follow closely the development of the MobileMount (also successful Kickstarted project).

I consider that this version is still beta. Hopefully, the team will create a new / better / stronger one. Trial & error is the best way to get a perfect product ! Keep up the work :)

Brad, Danny and I (Sam), all grew up together in the Bay Area. After college we split up- Sam moved to New York, Brad moved to Los Angeles and Danny moved to San Francisco. Even though we aren't close to each other, we are always in contact, skyping, texting, bouncing design and product ideas off each other. The Oona represents our first official collaboration, of which we hope there are many to come.
