Finished Covers!
So we're nearing the completion of the third chapter of "Children of War"! We want to thank everyone again for supporting this project, and wanted to show off the completed cover! Currently we just have thirteen more pages to color and we will be finished with this chapter. Editing should take no more than a day, and off to the printer it will go! We're expecting to mail out the rewards around the end of May, June at the latest.
Since we are receiving more than expected funding, we will be able to contribute the extra funds towards a bigger print project. We've been looking at cheaper print options, with bigger volume. So we will use the funds to invest into more copies and reach out to more people with the story.
Also, please keep a look out for our next project, where we will hope to get some funding to put towards the production of "Children of War, Chapter 004: Basic", in which it begins the arc of the main character, Snider's, training in boot camp. If you liked the first scene in Full Metal Jacket, or if you've been through recruit training in real life, you'll enjoy this chapter. It also introduces a new protagonist of the series. One of the rewards we are excited about giving out is a chance to appear in the story!
We'd also like to thank everyone who came out to meet us out at Sakura-con in Seattle! It was a great time for us! We'll also be at Fan Expo Vancouver next weekend (April 20/21). Unfortunately, we were weren't able to foresee us being at Fan Expo, and won't be able to raise support for this current project in time, as the campaign ends the day before. However please feel free to stop by and meet Will, the author, if you get a chance. He'd be more than happy to chat about anything and explain the story in more detail. Also, you'll be able to check out a lot of unreleased concept art of the characters!
If you can't wait to see what "Children of War" is about, feel free to start browsing the online web comic which debuted last weekend. It will be updated weekly with two pages from the series. But don't worry, you'll be way ahead of the curve when you receive your printed versions. Check it out at http://www.children-of-war.com/WP/.
