My name is One, and I would like to ask you for your donation to my super-fun and exciting short film HI, NAKINE!
About the Film
HI, NAKINE! is a 12-minute comedy drama film, and it is a story about Anastasia, who tries to get back her ex-boyfriend Nick. He is going to leave for Spain with his new girlfriend in ten minutes, so Anastasia has to play her all cards to get him back such as threatening him, seducing him and physically fighting with him. While they are struggling, a woman electrician Nakine enters Anastasia’s room… Nakine is a Hawaiian name, which means hope.
HI, NAKINE! will give you an exciting cinematic experience. While HI, NAKINE! reminds you of cinematic techniques borrowed from Western Film, Film Noir and German expressionism, it will also make you follow Anastasia’s trajectory met with her life-changing moment.
The Production
HI, NAKINE! will be shot in HD, and the tentative schedule of the production is as follows:

August 2011: Pre-Production
including fund-raising, building up the film crew and casting actors and locations.

October or November 2011: Production
including five-day shooting.

January to May 2012: Post-Production
including editing, sound mixing and color correction.
The Budget
The total budget for HI, NAKINE! will be $15,500, and I will greatly appreciate you if I can collect $3,000 by your help. All funds that you will contribute to the film will go towards the production processes including hiring and feeding the film crew, casting the locations and working on the production design.
The more you contribute to HI, NAKINE!, the better quality I can achieve in realizing the cinematic world to its fullest potential. I will highly appreciate everything that you are willing to give, and I anxiously wait to share HI, NAKINE! with you. Thank you for your help and support in advance!

One(Jiwon Moon) was born in South Korea. After she had graduated from Haja Production School, which focuses on cultural production as well as creativity, she studied filmmaking at Independent 16mm Filmmaking Workshop and PIFF Asian Film Academy.
She directed five short films which brought her three awards from the 7th Women’s Film Festival in Seoul, the 9th International New Media Festival and Experimental Film and Video Festival in Seoul.
While she kept making her films, she contributed a weekly column titled One’s TV Drama Review to Ilgan Entertainment & Sports for three years. She also worked as a member of the Audience Councils Committee for MBC(Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation) for two years.
She is currently studying in the Film Production Certificate program at the New School in New York City.
