  Hello Kickstarters.

  We have decided to cancel our funding effort here on the kickstarter platform after a few new considerations have come a bit more into focus.

  My Dad used to say, "The road to Hell is paved with good intentions"  I am thinking of him now.

We have a solid idea here with the OLNP. With the support and kind exchanges we have shared over the last few weeks and months there is no doubt that what we have here is worth working for. Feeling the support from all of our Backers, Friends, Family, Community, and Peers has been an amazing feeling. But we have some more work to do to make sure that our good intentions don't end up contradicting the actuality of our actions.

  The Smith Rock Park project was a success for certain. We managed to survive the event with a strong sense of purpose and direction. But when we decided to do the project without permission, or any sort of note of approval from the Park, we really set ourselves up for some explaining. Especially when our message and intention is to be a healing and respectful experience, well, how much more contradictory can we get?,.,.

  There were some complicating issues that I should have been aware of during the week in Terrebonne, things I believe could have been easily managed with the Park Service. But again, we decided to go in below radar and do our thing.

  Yes, the ethics and etiquette of that particular venue are sometimes a little loose. But again, with all the user groups that share that area, and the inherent dangers of what we were up to it was simply poor form not to involve the Park. 

  So, as we close down this funding effort we would like to send grateful Thanks and Insanely Pro Mojo to all of you that had made the decision to support our project. It is by no means the close of the effort, but a solid opportunity to go back to the table and talk through the way to make the next project and actual success.  I will remove this page in a day or two, just in case some yahoo out there wants to drop funding bombs on us,..kidding..

  And Our Sincerest of Apologies to anyone and everyone that found a little trouble with our tactics,.,. Its not easy to do things by the book. Who even wrote it?  I am acting here as I believe I would be advised by my Parents.
