Born in Baltimore Maryland, Doug studied painting in Savannah Georgia at the Savannah College of Art and Design, earning a BFA in Painting in 2002.
Doug moved to Oregon with his older Brother in 2005 to find a quality of life and vibrant cultural history he had been missing since a trip to the Northwest in 1997.
Now living in Portland and working as a Climbing Hardgoods Buyer for Next Adventure he maintains steady studio habits and is working hard to find the bridge to life simply as an Artist.
Most members of the One Light Night Team are currently living in Portland, while some others have taken wing to pursue time to work on other dreams. We all still connect regularly and have the plan set in motion for the next hanging to take place in early October 2011 at an undisclosed location somewhere in Washington State!!
By design, this project is not about one person or event, rather a collective effort has been born with a mind only to create an everlasting, temporary beauty.
