THE FILM:

Walter, an up-and-coming TV star, returns home to introduce his L.A. girlfriend to his family - but instead he winds up re-kindling a dysfunctional relationship with his ex. Andy has just lost her job and is subletting her apartment to a Private Equity Consultant that she impulsively kisses while showing him around her flat. Henry has dropped out of graduate school and returns home to find that his ex-girlfriend – for whom he has been carrying a torch - is engaged to someone more successful. Edward, very smart but very lazy, spends his time talking, at great length, about what is wrong with his generation. James, Elizabeth, Lydia, and Sophie are all getting married. All from the same wealthy Chicago suburb, these privileged, over-educated, and indecisive twenty-somethings stumble slowly - and not so surely - towards adulthood.
HOW WE’RE DOING IT:
This July and August, our small production crew will film an
80-page comedic screenplay on location in Chicago and surrounding suburbs. The film will be shot on a mixture of Super 16 and the Canon 7D. Upon completion, the film will be submitted to festivals around the Country.
