Love Is a Story is releasing a brand new, six-song EP. The record is almost wrapped, but we need your help to get CDs made.

Love Is a Story has recorded a brand new, self-titled, six-song EP, and your help is needed to get CDs pressed.  If you are planning to pick it up on iTunes, you can save a buck and still help by pre-ordering your digital copy here on Kickstarter instead.  Or get the CD, plus bonuses you won't find anywhere else.

I'm really excited to get this record out to you.  These are some of the most personal songs I've ever written, and I've spent an admittedly unreasonable amount of time getting them to sound as fantastic as possible.

I got together with my buddy Jonathan Denmark to brainstorm and come up with some rad rewards for my backers.  Check out the list on the right side of the page; you'll see we got pretty creative.  I'll send you handwritten lyrics, or call and sing to you.  The really fun ones are based on lyrics from each of the songs on this EP, like staging a fake shooting to impress your lady-friend for the song Bullet. (That one's gonna cost ya!) Each of these "Song Title Series" rewards includes a signed copy of the album.

If the $990 goal is reached, your reward will be shipped and/or transmitted to your door and/or computer.  If we don't reach our goal, you keep your pledge and I spend a couple of days crying.  Don't worry, I'll be fine.  Probably.

It will only take 99 people pre-ordering the CD to fund this project.  Anything over that goal will go directly to supporting my habit of writing and recording music.  I'm already working on the next record, and your contributions will help move it along to completion.

Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter

Because the album has already been recorded and this project is simply to get CDs pressed, there aren't likely to be many risks or challenges in completing it. I have already designed the album's cover. I will need to create some additional art assets for the physical packaging, but I have been designing album art for several years and don't expect to have any trouble with that. There may be challenges in providing some of the more creative rewards, but I'm committed to doing my best to provide excellent products and services to my backers.
