About this project
We’re Ground Up Studios, an independent Development / Production House dedicated to writing, conceptualizing, and developing work of exceptional quality and explosive creativity. We’re here to talk about our nearest-and-dearest project, “Oh! Snap”.
“Oh! Snap” is about a gang of pirates who go on adventures traveling around the world selling hair and skin cosmetics. The kinetic fluidity of “Oh! Snap”’s style coupled with the strong storytelling and energy is a work of art that will appeal to manga and American comic fans. “Oh! Snap” is a fun, friendly, family comic with humor for all ages.
Jazz, the leader of the crew, uses a katana unlike most pirates who use a silver marine cutlass sword. Griff is a veteran pirate who uses an illegally modified hair drier as his weapon. Kiki the little monkey girl is the pilot of the ship. Bob is a machine originally designed for combat, but later turned into a maintenance robot. Lastly, Molly, the black sheep, is just Molly.
In the future, we plan on turning “Oh! Snap” into an animated series for tv. We’re hoping to raise $900 through Kick Starter to help with distribution, advertising, and printing for the first issue. The first issue is completely done and is 28 pages full color. Along with the incentives, everyone will receive our sincerest thank yous plus we will be sending updates of our comic and news of convention appearances.
You will receive really cool prizes when you pledge. In addition to that, your account will ONLY be charged if we reach our funding goal.
