One Cart. One Cafe. One dream to create the most sustainable restaurant in Portland, Or. Green, Local, Vegetarian, Vegan, Awesomeness!
Our goal is to consolidate our current operations; a solar-paneled food cart, Off the Griddle, and our small 5 table cafe, A.n.D Cafe, into one all encompassing restaurant. We will put our Kickstarter funds toward outfitting our new, expanded location with a host of sustainable features; including solar panels, LEED Certification, reclaimed furniture, recycled plastic chairs, new energy efficient equipment, low wattage fixtures & lighting, recycled or reclaimed countertops, low flow plumbing, grey water recycling program, building gardens for our garden to table program, rainwater harvesting, and ensuring that new building materials are made with post-consumer content or otherwise sustainably sourced.
The Kickstarter program provides all with a focused opportunity to vote with our wallets. Quite simply, it is “grassroots economics”. That's why we support socially responsible projects and why we're excited to make ours a part of it. With your help, we will continue to show Portland and beyond how satisfying and scrumptious our food is while remaining as locally sourced as possible, entirely sustainable and wonderfully affordable. We want to personally thank everyone for their contribution; whether it's spreading the word via social media, taking some fliers to pass out to friends & colleagues, or pledging your financial support.

We will operate the cart until the end of September. We will have a free veggie burger day some time in September and our Kickstarter Backers will be the first to know :)
We won't be abandoning the cart concept completely but our time in the food cart pod will be coming to an end. We intend on upgrading to a newer truck version at some point in our long term growth plan. We would like to keep the cart going for festivals, catering, & to visit public schools to teach students about healthy eating & sustainability.
