1st Classical concert featuring world renowned soloist Christopher Deane performing Emanuelle Sejourne's Vibraphone Concerto.
On November 30 we will be presenting our first Classical Subscription Concert featuring world renowned percussionist, Christopher Deane as soloist. Mr. Deane, is professor of percussion at the University of North Texas and will be performing Emanuelle Sejourne's sassy and fiesty Vibraphone Concerto.
Artistic Director Jason Lim has commissioned a new work by local composer, Brad Robin called "Breath".
Program will include:
Maurice Ravel: Le Tombeau de Couperin
Emanuelle Sejourne: Vibraphone Concerto
Brad Robin: Breathe (World Premiere)
Franz Schubert: Symphony No. 5 in B Flat
We operate as a Texas non-profit under 501 (c) 3 and all donations are tax deductible. The amount we've requested will help us hire the finest musicians from the Denton and surrounding areas as well as renting one of the finest auditoriums in the area. Paying our musicians is extremely important to us and we hope that we can help create an environment where musicians will want to play for Denton's orchestra.
