What are Obos?

Obos are a new kind of figurine toy. Each Obo toy comes filled with parts. You attach all the parts to make your Obo. What's even more exciting about Obos is that if you have more than one, you can swap their parts! By swapping Obo parts you can make new and unique Obos. The more Obos you have, the more creative you can be!

There are hundreds of different Obos you can make by swapping parts. Here are some examples of custom Obos!

Environmental Responsibility

Obos aren't just fun, they're also eco-friendly. They are made of FSC Certified paper and recycled paperboard.There is no packaging other than a strip of paper that also serves as an instruction manual - and the entire Obo is recyclable.

What’s between you and your Obos? Not much... We’ve already been working on these guys for a couple of years - we are finished with the prototyping process - we’re super excited about the way Obos look, feel, and work - and we are ready to pull the “GO” lever on the Big Obo Machine. We are just waiting for this Kickstarter campaign to finish so we know how many Obos to make - and to raise some money to pay for the first batch of Obos!

Obos Sticker & T-shirt

You may have noticed the "Obos Sticker" and "Obos Big Eyeball T-shirt" in the rewards area on the right. Even though the Obos are the best part - we wanted to offer the Sticker and T-shirt to sweeten the deal! The Sticker is circular and has the Obos "Big Eyeball" on it, and the T-shirt has an even bigger "Big Eyeball" (see it below). Let us know what color you want... You get to choose from Munti Mountain Blue, Burr Snow White, Fofo Forest Orange, Zard Fire Red, Oshi Ocean Green, or Guba Tropical Yellow. Don't forget to tell us your size (S,M,L,XL).

What is the age group for Obos?

Obos are for everyone, ages 4 to 400! They are not for ages 3 and under, because small parts can be a choking hazard for small kids.

What are Obos made of?

Obos are made of FSC Certified paper and Recycled paperboard. We take pride in this fact because we wanted to avoid making this product out of plastic.

What is FSC Certified paper?

FSC stands for Forest Stewardship Council, an independent, non-governmental, not-for profit organization established to promote the responsible management of the world’s forest which governs paper from sustainable forests. All FSC Certified paper comes from sustained forests.

Are Obos durable?

Obos are made of extra thick paperboard. To give you and idea of what that means, each of the Obos parts are about 100 times thicker than a sheet of typical paper from your home printer. The extra thick paper board is heavy and rigid. Also, the way that Obos are folded and manufactured gives them additional strength. The slots are engineered to withstand swapping parts.

How big is an Obo?

Like... real Obos? or the Obos figurines that you can get on Kickstarter? Because real Obos - the ones that live on Planet Obo - are ten feet tall. The Obos figurines that you can get here are approximately 2.1” cubes - and after you attach all the parts, they grow to become up to 4” all around.

How do I communicate my shipping address with you?

A form will be emailed to you via Kickstarter when the project is complete.

What sizes are available for the T-Shirts? Do they come in child sizes?

T-Shirts come in S, M, L, XL for adults. Youth sizes YXS, YS, YM, YL, YXL are available in Burr Snow White or Fofo Forest Orange.

How do I tell you what T-shirt size I want?

When the campaign is closed, you will receive a form where you can provide your shipping information. There will also be a place on that form where you can confirm the T-shirt size you want.

I am only interested in either 2 or 3 Obos, how do I let you know which Obos I want?
