Update #2: Nylon Fusion Collective Benefit Outcome: We Need Your LOVE..!

Posted on May 1, 2010

On Monday April 19th we had our Soiree benefit event hosted by Paul Haggis (Crash, Million Dollar Baby). We had the honor of having Wynton Marsalis and Ted Nash perform. John P Shanley and Edward Menicheschi, VP of Vanity Fair were among the guests that evening. It was quite a surreal experience! Just imagine being in the company of friends and some of the most respected people in America coming together to give hope to a new, emerging theatre company. That evening we raised almost half of the funds needed to make our season successful (which makes us extremely proud). But still have a long way to go...

By contributing a few dollars to our Kickstarter page, you can help us mount this historical play: Fuente Ovejuna by Lope de Vega. This is the US premiere of Adrian Mitchell’s translation, which preserves the integrity of Lope’s original work but presents a contemporary sensibility.
More info: www.nylonfusion.org

We really really really do need your Love!

Thanks!!!
Ivette and Elliot at Nylon.

Update #1: Nylon Fusion Collective is moving up!

Posted on April 7, 2010

It's confirmed that on April 19th we will have our benefit: Spanish Tinged Soiree hosted by Oscar winner Paul Haggis ("Crash" and "Million Dollar Baby")!

This means that our embarking "over" scary and adventurous territory has no choice but to begin to pay off! We have our creative team completed - which means we have a very talented group creating our costumes, lighting, sets and...all else.

It's truly exciting to have our project on KICKSTARTER! We are looking forward to raising the funds to complete payment for our AMAZING theatre space. It is very important to us at NYLON that we get support from our fans, friends and loved ones - we can't do it without you! We are also looking forward to having our video on Kickstarter this Friday. Look for it...

NyLon Fusion is a Collective of diverse artists with Trans-Atlantic roots that explores classical and contemporary works through an ensemble approach.

We seek to continue building NyLon Fusion Collective by intervals: each production is a complete entity, and each one is enhanced from what was learned in the past. We endeavor to tell stories using the great pool of available multicultural performers. We are artists who come from New York and London- cities that are filled with people from all over the world.
