About the Show

Ronaldo Tours is a tongue-in-cheek docu-series that follows a pseudo-fictional character named Ronaldo who has left his home country of Italy. He has immersed himself in various cities to discover the Italian culture that resides in each place he visits.    

While, Ronaldo's focus is on Italian culture; realizing Italian culture's role in locations with diverse immigration patterns is also an important aspect. 

Making the Show

The first season formally started on November of 2011. It completed with six episodes, released on a monthly basis. Season two will continue that same pattern. 

We produce these episodes very simply with HDSLRs, a mic and editing software. The challenge is pointed squarely on the lengthy research involved in finding the right restaurateurs, proprietors, locations and communities.   

What's New in Season Two

Half way through season one, we realized that this show is not just about Italian culture outside of Italy. It's about witnessing the changes in cultural communities over time. We will be exploring this idea through themes such as cultural heritage, gentrification, cross cultural relations, race, class and gender and much more. 

Ronaldo on Free Culture and Expression

Ronaldo Tours is produced by NPeaches. NPeaches is a web based entertainment network. We self produce and distribute webseries on a platform that we’ve created and maintain ourselves. We are platform that uses our content as a public service for the benefit of free culture, social justice and artistic integrity. All of our content, including Ronaldo Tours is freely available to not only stream, but to download, remix, and re-distribute. 

That being said, Ronaldo Tours is licensed under the Creative Commons CC BY-NC-SA 3.0 license. 

Beyond that, we have plans to release remix kits of Ronaldo media including raw footage, edit sessions in XML and .fcp, EDLs and more. We'll also compile the best B-roll as a free CC BY stock footage library for other artists to use. 

We don't just want to you remix it, we want to assist you and give you resources to make remixing even better. All in an effort to let creative innovation thrive.
