About this project
What We’re Doing
We’re raising money to complete the film! At this point, we've wrapped primary production...and the footage looks BEAUTIFUL! But post production is expensive. To finish this film, we need your help. If we complete our funding goal on Kickstarter, we can complete our film!
Why We’re Doing It
Because the story is resonating with so many people, we know that The Man at the Counter will be a great film. Throughout production, there has been a level of momentum that has kept this film going strong, and in order to keep that momentum going, we need outside funding to carry us into post production. Your support brings us that much closer to making this film a reality!
-- Frequently Asked Questions --
What are your plans if you finish the film?
We are going to send the film to major film festivals.
Can I increase my pledge once it’s been made?
YES! Once you donate to our campaign, you may want to change your incentive reward to a different one, or increase your pledge amount. To do so, go to Kickstarter and sign in. If you go to our campaign page, the green “Back This Project” button has been replaced with a blue “Manage Your Donation” button. Click it and you can enter a new amount, or choose a new incentive.
What happens if the money isn’t raised in time?
It's all or nothing with this fundraising campaign. If our goal isn’t met before the deadline, no money changes hands and our film isn't finished. We want to avoid this situation at all cost!
Can we exceed the funding goal?
YES! What a great idea. If we exceed our funding goal, that extra money will be used for the debt that we created during production.
Is $10,000 your entire budget?
No, this is only the number we need to hit to complete the project...the production costs were very expensive as well, but at this point our goal is to finish the film.
How do we contact you?
You can contact us directly at notetoselffilms@gmail.com. We check it and will get back to you.
Is Note to Self Films a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization?
Unfortunately neither this film nor Note to Self Films is set up as a non-profit. Donations are raw gifts. Non-tax deductible.
If I donate, when can I redeem the incentive?
All incentives, big and small, will only happen if our goal is met. If we do meet our goal, immediately after our deadline we will start to ship all physical merchandise directly to you. You will hear from us. (More on this as we get closer to our deadline).
Who does the money go to?
Your money goes directly to the funding of this film.
Any other questions? Just ask us. We’d be happy to answer them!
