We are super excited to be heading into the studio for our first recording project! It is a five song EP.

Dearest friends of Not Amy,
We start our first recording project on November 30th, after a very busy 10 months of writing, rehearsing and performing as a band. We've played lots of shows in lots of towns, in some of our favorite venues, with some of our favorite bands. The post show congratulations always end with, "but when can we buy an album?" Now is the time!
It would be misleading to say we haven't already put a lot of ourselves into these songs, and the work is only getting harder as we prepare to record The Walking Shoes EP. We have all been in the business of making music for many years, and we hope to make a record that demonstrates our level of dedication to our craft.
We would surely appreciate your support to get this album to you; as you may know, recording is an expensive proposition. Perhaps you'll find something in the rewards to pique your interest, or perhaps you'd just savor the satisfaction of supporting Not Amy. In either case, we'll welcome your assistance!

Every recording endeavor poses challenges, namely using time efficiently. Luckily, our schedules have been such that we have had ample rehearsals, so we should be able to use our time in the studio efficiently. Whenever a recording process hits a bump or two (aurally speaking) it is necessary to have professional opinons from outside the band available for fixing little bugs. In regards to having extra ears on the project, we feel very fortunate to be working with engineers David Miner and Nick Holman, whose ears we respect immensely.
