Here is the test a lot of people have been waiting for, the strength of the suction cup on 'Ultima'.

Again let me know what other features you'd like seen in a video, the next video demonstration will be showing video recording while driving.

      Hi Josh, a couple of the parts came back incorrect from the supplier which is easily rectifiable but unfortunately it pushes us back a little as we're aren't able to test correctly so need to wait for the correct parts. We are also trying to work out the best material to be used for the suction cup which we really want to get right as we are now making a custom suction cup. We were also able to increase the max width which is great and was able to improve on the internal design for durability and easier more simplified assembly. I'm currently editing more videos so and update is coming real real soon :)

      Hi Rich, yeah mine is too sometimes :) we have just received the next lot of prototype parts and unfortunately some of them didn't quite work out so looks like we need a little more time but the good thing is that most of the adjustments we need can actually be done in tooling so no need for prototyping which saves money and time. Will post an update within the next couple of days as I also want to get some feedback on another function so will keep you posted. Cheers

      It is going to be awesome this is one of my favorite projects so far!
      Thanks for the clarification Nik as I said I wasn't sure what I was seeing turns out it was nothing :)
      I don't think any company out there would even attempt a test like that on their plastic phone holders the Ultima is a serious piece of hard from what I have seen so far is July still looking possible for fulfillment?

      Hi Richard, no it didn't fail, I actually didn't even notice anything flexing myself I simply used the strap as that was the only way I could attach that amount of weight to the unit. I think the clamp holding 3.75kg also indicate how strong the internal parts are too as I very much doubt any other universal mount would be able to hold such a weight and this is just a prototype. Cheers

      Wow I'm impressed just curious right before the fade where you switched from the clamp holding the weights to the strap it looked like the moveable side of the clamp was flexing a bit...no one expects this to hold that much weight but did the clamp fail and that's why you switched to the strap?
      Please don't mistake my question for concern I actually would be happy to know you destroyed a few of these things finding their limits I'm just curious if I was seeing what I thought I was seeing.

      Once we have the new prototype parts which have just shipped and are on the way then we will be showing it's stability while driving. Note though you do lose a slight amount of stability due to the ball joint but you don't get vibration or wobble.
