Because of you, we are on our way to Hawaii!—just kidding. Now what? Amazon Payments should be charging your credit card in the next day or so and from there they will be holding on to the funds for 14 days.
We have already started production of the DigiPlate and its parts. Last week tooling and programming the CNC mills was started for the bigger items. The custom hardware was ordered and is currently being milled. And, just this morning, we inspected the first DigiPlates coming out of the CNC machines. Needless to say, our initial delivery date of the end of August will be moved up dramatically, if things keep going the way they are. We anticipate being able to ship by mid-July. We'll have more definite dates for you as we get closer.
We have a number of requests from backers requesting to purchase additional mounts, clamps, etc. During this 14 day holding period, we are also putting together a DigiPlate web site. Prior to your reward shipment, we will give you the option of purchasing those additional items. And, in true Kickstarter fashion, those items will be offered at a discounted price.
If you backed the project with a photo print reward instead of a DigiPlate, you can start perusing Dana's images immediately. Pretty much any image that Dana has ever produced is fair game. You can find images on these sites:

If you backed the project with no reward, we can't tell you how much we appreciate your support. The prototype process and tooling costs for all the parts adds up quickly. You're probably thinking, how much can it cost to make a plate with a bunch of holes in it!?!?!! Typically a machine shop would charge $2-3 per tapped hole. Since the DigiPlate has close to 200 tapped holes, well, you can do the math on that one. But the tapped holes are what make the DigiPlate so versatile and expandable and we did not want to compromise any part of the system. We found a manufacturer that was creative in getting costs down without compromising what we set out to accomplish. Again, thank you so much for your support.
So, hang tight and we'll have another update for you at the end of the holding period. At that time, we will also be collecting pertinent information from DigiPlate reward backers such as what type of laptop clamps you will want, which mount you would like, etc. Also, for our international backers we will be able to give you accurate quotes for the international shipping.
