An Update from David (Husband o' Nikki)
Hey, everybody!
David Lerner here. I just wanted to take a second to hijack Nikki's Kickstarter page and post an update myself.
Recording continues to go exceptionally well, and I wanted to thank every one of you myself for playing a part in making Nikki's studio project come to life. Something really incredible, unique, and special is happening in this process, and I'm so proud of what she's creating, but it never would have been possible without the help of everyone who participated in the campaign. Seeing the look on Nikki's face as we listen to the early mixes is something I wish I could share with you all, but trust me, it's awesome. So thank you, thank you, a million times thank you.
The process of creating an album takes a little longer when you have a full-time job and can't spend a few straight weeks in the studio to hammer it out. However, we're coming down the homestretch now - only a couple of more tracks need to be recorded, and then the mixing process will kick into high gear so we can send everything off to have the CDs pressed. Not to mention scheduling a photo shoot for the album artwork and all of that goodness. But we're getting there!
Again, this album would still just be a dream in Nikki's head if it weren't for your financial support to get things off the ground, so THANK YOU! We'll keep you posted as we wrap up the recording process and move toward a final product.
