I like to doodle. Only I call my doodles "Dordles". I want to make 30 of your favorites into high-quality color 4x6" postcards.

I like to doodle. But I call my doodles Dordles. A Dordle is not quite a drawing and not quite a doodle. Each mark of lacerating genius is recorded on scrap paper then polished on computer. Some are done entirely on computer. Hopefully this keeps them playful and fun.

Currently, I have over 440 of them with themes that range from funny to somber, sweet to perverse, and often involving a good, old-fashioned pun.
So far my Dordles have only been seen online. And while they have proven fairly popular on blogs over the years, they have never existed in tangible form.

I need you, kind Kickstarter user, to vote on your favorite designs and help turn them into high-quality color 4x6" post cards. I've run a test through a vendor for 5 designs and they turned out great. I'm so excited to make more!
The 30 designs with the most votes will be printed, 100 cards minimum of each, for a total of 3000 cards. I'll send these to friends, family, enemies, publishers, and independent books stores that I hope will want to carry them.
Basically, I want as many people as possible to see them in person.
Additional copies of the cards will be printed to give to anyone who helps fund the project.

I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

FAQ

Yes.
-
You had me at "I'm a book publisher interested in publishing a book of your Dordles through my publishing company"! Of course I would. Please contact me.
-
No. Shipping is included unless the USPS does something insane with postage rates between now and January. Though if you are international, we might need to work something out.
-
As mentioned above, all the extra money will be used to print more designs and offer greater variety between the cards people get as incentives.

Unfortunately, the 100+ level was limited to 10 drawings. I added 5 rewards at a new $60 level though that sweeten the deal with a copy of my Sad Poems. Sad Poem aren't drawings, though they do create images in the mind. Their whit is sharp like a sword to a cuttable surface.
