Update #19: hello gang
It's been awhile since I've posted, so I just want to let you know what up.
I have been in the recording studio off and on for the past few months. We are making progress! Still not done yet, but it is turning out awesomely and i am excited about it, and sooo thankful to have you all on board.
I have also been in the process of reinventing my life and painting clouds on my ceiling. I'd send you a picture, but i lost my camera in the shuffle--it's been quite a shuffle at that! well,important stuff all. When i find my camera, you get a glimpse of clouds, how's that? And a song soon, I promise.

Update #18: Hello everyone
Just thought I'd give you an update, even thought there's no extra-special news to spread at this point. Well, not true, there's some news. I'm back in the recording studio on August 3; and I just decided today to record 18 songs instead of 12--Yes, more time, more money, but the songs just needed to be on the CD. What can I say?
In Toastmasters this morning the theme was 'choices'. Our world is filled with choices. And slowly I've come to understand that my heart makes choices that my brain would never consider. And they tend to be way more in tune and 'right' for the long haul. So, I'm off to practice and check Craig's list; still searching for a home (funny, that's one of the songs!).

Nicola writes lots of songs. She plays guitar, ukulele and fiddle. She is a life learner, cultivating and sharing her process through music and songwriting workshops, songwriting coaching and life coaching. Inspired by nature, acts of kindness, and a growing appreciation of life's twists and turns, her intention is to cultivate aliveness and inspire those around her to do the same.
She has 5 CDs out and presently a ukulele-inspired CD in the hopper. The first 3 CDs are original material; The last two are songs based on the poetry of Hafiz--a 14th century Sufi poet (trans. Daniel Ladinsky). She teaches songwriting at the local college and in private workshops. She does life coaching too. Besides her solo shows, Nicola also plays in an ol' timey girl-grass band called the Honeysuckle Possums. They make a rowdy, genuine noise of foot-stomping glee.
For Nicola, finding flow is key. She is committed to following her aliveness and she encourages others to do the same. She believes this is how to change the world: from the inside, out; one step at a time. Might as well enjoy as many minutes of life as you can-- I dare you.
