Update #5: Video released!
Hi everyone,
After months of editing we just wanted to drop you a line and let you know we finally released our video for All Prophets in Their Houses, which your funding helped make possible. It's been about a week and it's almost up to 500 views on YouTube, and that is really exciting. You can watch it by following the link below. From the bottom of all of our hearts, thank you for all of this.
Update #4: Goal achieved!
As of the pledge deadline of midnight last night we had nearly doubled our original goal. Again, we cannot thank you enough for your support.
We're now finalizing the artwork formatting and will order our CDs within the next couple of days. They should arrive in time for our show on June 18, so if you're in San Diego that night come on by the Ruby Room and you can claim your signed copy in person. Otherwise we'll get them in the mail as soon as possible once they come in.
Beyond pressing CDs, we raised a bit of money to help out with our video shoot. We'll post updates here as things progress on that front.
Thank you thank you thank you thank you. We could not have done this without you.
Update #3: All Prophets in Their Houses picked for our first video
We mentioned in our last update that since we had met our goal, all additional funding will go into the production of our first video, directed by Alec Contestible.
Today's big news is that we've decided what song to film it for, and we have a production date. The weekend of June 19 we'll be filming the video for our song All Prophets in Their Houses. We could not be more excited about this! You can listen to the song below.
We'll continue to post update as the project progresses, and know we can count on your support to make this awesome.
Update #2: The project has expanded
With your support we easily surpassed the amount we needed to press our CDs, and we cannot thank you enough. Our friend Alec Contestible, who has helped to fund this project, has offered to shoot a video for us. Alec's work is wonderful, and we couldn't be happier to accept the offer.
From this day (May 13) until the end of the month, any more support offered will be used to pay for the production costs associated with filming.
You can check out the last video Alec directed by clicking below:
We hope you'll help us make our first video a success!
Update #1: We are blown away by your support!
This is essentially an update to say THANK YOU! With your help we were able to hit our goal within only two days of launching this project. And people have continued to give! Any funding we receive over the amount we need to press CDs will go directly into band expenses, whether those are future recordings, pressing more copies, gas for playing a show out of town, advertising, etc.
We are sincerely humbled by your support and generosity. We believe in what we're doing, and would continue to write music and play together no matter what future circumstances arise, but knowing our friends believe in what we're doing too is an incredible boost to us.
With all of our gratitude,
Honest Iago
