About this project
From murkey basements to major music venues, I've had my fun and shared it with crowds from Michigan, Ohio, Illinois and more. I released my first album entitled The Glitter Wars in 2009.Currently, I am in the process of completing my second album, The Triumphant Rise & Tragic Existence of Sick Nick, but I NEED YOUR HELP!
The goal is to raise $3700 to print and press, mix and master, provide adequate promotion, send a copy of the album to each person who donated. Not to mention a CD release party that is sure to leave everyone talking! This is the mission, and I am hoping to have you on board!
Over the course of the last 10 years, I have grown and learned so much from the inspiration of the people around me. I have had the grand opportunity of working with some phenomenal musicians such as Wolfie Complex, Bob Lester and Mike Shea (Ella Riot), Jamie Register, Mike Boyd, and many more. Combined these musicians helped shape me as an artist and a person, bringing me up from the moment I first burst onto the scene.
I began making hip hop music at the age of 15. I wrote quietly for about a year before I finally shared my music with my brother Kevin (aka Esque Roxwell), who was already actively making music with the Ann Arbor known hip hop crew the Seven Chakraz. I was then joined into a group of close friends (Eli D., Mr. Williams, A Bomb, Faded One, Goose, and Jus One to name a few) where I found myself in an imaginative position as a female emcee.
Although this journey has proven to be anything but imaginary, it has certainly been a thrilling experience and has only left me wanting more. There is nothing more moving than knowing that the music I have made has touched so many people in such a positive way. I only hope that I can continue to push on with my music not only for myself, but for those who wish to listen. This will be my first self-acclaimed project, and I am more than ecstatic to bring it to life!
Thank you for taking the time to check this Kickstarter and for showing a general interest in my cause. I can only hope that this next project will not only further shape me as a musician, but will in turn inspire others and make further progression towards changing the face of hip hop music. Cheers!

From murkey basements to Major Venues, Nickie P. (a.k.a. Sick Nick) has pleased crowds all over Southeastern Michigan and Northern Ohio. Nicole Price has been heavily involved in the music scene her entire life. Her father, James Price was a member of a Doo Wop group as a young boy alongside his father. Her mother, Toni was active in a church musical group out of Milford, Michigan for several years, later involving Nickie in the group. Her oldest brother David (a.k.a. Boliver Trask) played guitar and sang for a punk rock group called No Prematures and her second oldest brother, Kevin (a.k.a. Esque Roxwell) was a member in a local hip hop group called The Seven Chakraz. From 1996 to 2000, Nickie attended private voice lessons at Milford Music doing performances at the local legion hall and various street shows during town festivals. Nickie was primarily trained in classical, Broadway and Italian Opera, but Nickie found her true passion in Hip Hop music at the young age of 14. She wrote secretly until she found the courage to present her ideas to her brother Kevin (Esque) in 2002. That year Nickie became a new member of the crew and ever since has worked faithfully alongside her brother and a cast of friends and family spanning from Ann Arbor, Michigan to San Francisco, California. The crew has played at numerous venues in Michigan and Ohio including the Blind Pig in Ann Arbor, the Screamin’ Eagle in Ypsilanti, Mac’s Bar in Lansing, 1515 in Detroit, Frankie’s Bar in Toledo, Ohio and are continuously crowds to this day. In 2009, Nickie signed with Daleth music group from Southfield Michigan and put most of her focus and drive into finishing her first solo project "The Glitter Wars" (2009). In October 2010, Nickie left Daleth to create music on her own terms aspiring to finish her second album "The Triumphant Rise and Tragic Existence of Sick Nick"!
