Throwback to cult horror movies of the 80's.
Jason's evil girlfriend just made him move into an apartment building that seems to be primarily occupied by a demon worshiping cult, and for some reason, they really want to make sure he doesn't leave. Now it's up to Jason to figure out why he's so important to their plan, all the while avoiding some Shining-esque femme fatale hipster girls, a short shadow demon that can implode people by touching them and an awkward break up conversation.
Soul Hungry is the recipe for a cult horror comedy. It creates a mythology that can span several more films, introducing an unlikely hero into the horror genre, all the while bringing the laughs and the gore. It is low-budget, horror comedy gold.
