NFNT,

I have to say that there is some confusion as to why you have not provided an updated picture of watch faces with the new placement of the date. The following is an extract from your last update:

"... The watches are indeed in production! However, we have hit a slight set back, and the delivery of the watches could be postponed up to four weeks. To be honest, the jump from prototyping to production takes longer, and is much more rigorous than we envisioned (all you project creators out there know what we're talking about).

As a company, we chose to put the quality ahead of the speed of delivery.

While this will upset some of our backers, we feel it is the only decision. We had to go through several rounds of test watches on the production line before starting the full scale production, and to be honest, we're happy that we took the extra precautions. It's going to lead to a much better product ending up in on your wrist."

Given that you completed several test rounds and are currently in final production, I can not understand how you don't have a picture of what the new watch face looks like. This is especially true since you have someone actually at the manufacturer.

Please provide a better explanation as this does not make sense to me and I am getting quite concerned. I tried sending you a direct message several days ago but have not received a response to it so i am not sure if you are monitoring those. I can only assume that something is missing in the information we have. Again, please clarify how you can be in production but still not be able to provide a picture.

In 94 projects I have backed, I can honestly say this has been the best at communicating, being transparent and respecting your backers.

I will wait for the watch, I appreciate the quality you are putting in this, and applaud you for your hard work, and for making the tough decisions.

I like both projects and the differences between them. I also own a we-wood watch, which has existed way longer than either if these. I like watches and kickstarter so I'd back pretty much any watch related project. Has it been stated here the projected shipping dates? Hopefully not as disappointingly long as the e-pebble is taking. Or the dreaded zyre. Anyway, I'd also like to find out if I can pay for and order the original backer case back? I've been thinking about it alot over the last few weeks. Thanks.

NFNT, just the fact that you sent an update at this point without a hundred requests in the comments asking for one says everything about how well you have and will continue to run your project. And I loved your "No, we didn't just run off with you're money" comment. That's what backers are always thinking.

So many KS projects could keep backers calm and happy with the simplest of updates just once a week. "Everything still on schedule folks....."

I own multiple high end watches, and adding the NFNT watch is highly anticipated. I like the look of the OGs, but there is something about an ALL WOOD watch! Good work Gents!

I know it's hard to discuss taste of style, but those OG Watches are not well designed in my opinion. They look like what I imagine a rich kid in a country club would wear to display his eco-friendliness and understatement. It reminds me of first class airlines interior design which are often over designed and display a crude mix of materials. I had to get this of my chest.

Hi Ryan/NFNT,

I absolutely agree with everything you said. The products, while having similar approach, are different enough that I think they compliment each other more than anything.

But their KS video, page and pictures are embarrassingly obviously that they totally stole NFNT's ideas. Definitely not cool.

I too prefer the Woody over the OG offerings. I love the fact that the Woody is a wood watch and not a conventional watch with some wood elements.

Truth be told I'm not sure of the OG watches really copied that many of NFNT's ideas, I'd imagine they had started the planning and designing process prior to the Woody's KS campaign since these things takes longer than a month to design and build a prototype (at least I'd imagine it would).

Probably just 2 good ideas coming into fruition at the same time.

Their KS video is a total ripoff though lol.

I bought 3 Woodies (2 are gifts) and have pledge for 3 OG watches (keeping one for myself), the Woody and the OG are different styles and should compliment each other nicely. I'm glad there are 2 to choose from, although I definitely wouldn't want to see everybody having a wood watch lol.

I definitely prefer the Woody over the OG range. I remember a while ago people were asking about different colours. Being made of bamboo, would it be possible for people to easily, dye/stain/paint their own watches? If so, the customisation potential could be a good selling point.

@N.H. and @Todd B. Yes you are both correct. To process the survey, every field needs to have something filled in it. If it doesn't apply you can put what N.H. put in or just put "NA" if that field does not apply to you. And it is a KS thing. I have done a few KS here and they all have the same survey issue.
