Funding Successful
This project successfully raised its funding goal on August 15, 2010.
Pledge $5 or more
We will request your friendship on Facebook, a semi-popular social networking website. You will be free to accept or decline this request.
Pledge $15 or more
The friend request PLUS one freshly burned, sharpie-labeled DVD of our first film, Bummer Summer.
Pledge $25 or more
The request and the copy of Bummer Summer PLUS a copy of The International Sign for Choking just as soon as it's finished.
Pledge $60 or more
The request and the two DVDs PLUS a picture text message from amateur conspiracy enthusiast/New York City arts and culture socialite Robert M. Malone.
Pledge $75 or more
The request, the DVDs, and the pix text PLUS a personal, handwritten postcard of gratitude sent directly to you from the set of The International Sign for Choking in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Pledge $100 or more
All of the above PLUS your photograph (or any artistic rendering of you/your essence) posted on our production blog!
Pledge $150 or more
All of the above PLUS a personal phone conversation on the topic of your choosing. Global politics, the arts, the Kennedy assassination, whatever. We'll familiarize ourselves with the topic beforehand if necessary.
Pledge $500 or more
All of the above PLUS a batch of cookies baked in the shape of the letters of your name. Also, we'll give you two tickets to one of the film's festival screenings (you choose based on geographical convenience).
Pledge $500 or more
The very first person to go for it and give $500 will receive all of the above PLUS the one of a kind concept sketch used above in the thumbnail for our video. It was drawn by SF-based artist Lara McCauley in black ink on a white 8.5'' x 11'' sheet of paper. It's currently hanging on my mother's fridge. It could be hanging on yours.
Pledge $1,000 or more
All of the above PLUS you are listed as an associate producer in the film's credits. Even more importantly, the credit will show up on IMDb.
Pledge $2,000 or more
All of the above PLUS we will produce a short film based on details of your life that you provide. We'll even give you a copy.
Pledge $5,000 or more
All of the above PLUS you are listed as executive producer in the film's credits. You are so important at this point that you can even see and provide feedback on early versions of the film during the editing process. And of course, you're on IMDb.
Pledge $8,500 or more
This is the works. You get all of the above PLUS we will travel to your home, cook you a feast (considering any dietary restrictions you may have, of course) and eat dinner with you as we all watch the film together. Afterwards, we'll spend all night cleaning your home. If you'd like, we'll even buy you a hotel room for the night so you can stay out of the way of our scrubbing, dusting, etc. If you want, you can write a guest-post for our blog about the experience. At this level, you can basically do anything you want to/with us.

Newhard Entertainment is a highly elite filmmaking unit founded by the unprecedentedly mysterious mogul T. Newhard. The organization was initially conceived as a vehicle to produce Zach Weintraub's first feature film, Bummer Summer, which is currently enjoying all of the glamor and excitement of an international festival run.
Following the success of this first endeavor, Newhard retreated back into his shadowy lair of secrets, leaving the reigns of the operation in the capable hands of Weintraub himself and his partner Nandan Rao (each considerably less mysterious). Most recently, the duo collaborated with infamous creative madman Rob Malone to shoot a cross-country action/adventure thriller (Fresh Starts 4 Stale People), and are currently developing a transcontinental co-production (The International Sign for Choking) that colleagues predict may go down in history as one of the most ingenious arthouse classics of modern times.

Keep doin' what you do. Wish I could afford to donate more.
