The DeadCoats are Coming

In Halloween, 2011 Neo-Pangea hatched the idea to create the world’s first Flash First Person Shooter, and they called it - DeadCoats.  Built as an experiment in under three weeks, it was unleashed to the world. The game instantly received rave reviews and legions of fans demanded more, and it’s not hard to see why.Who wouldn't want to relive the great American Revolution as founding-father Ben Franklin with a lightning-powered musket, zapping the heads off of DeadCoat zombies?

Today the game has had some time to breathe and has received praise and accolades beyond our expectation. Without any advertising, tens of thousands of players experience DeadCoats every month. The one thing we keep hearing is: “when can we get MORE?” Games are something we’ve always enjoyed creating, but the bills have to get paid to keep the lights on, the computers running, and the creative minds plugging away at the next technological wonder. Those bills have traditionally been paid by doing client-funded work. But what if you could be the client and fund this amazing game? You can’t ask us to make the logo bigger or change the fonts, but what if we could pay to keep the power on by making the DeadCoats that everyone’s been asking for?

That’s where you come in.

It’s being proved more and more every day: when players gets to contribute directly to a project, the final result makes everyone happier. Studios that don’t have to answer to big company names can operate with the power of the independent spirit, and create the wonderful things that they want to create. We at Neo-Pangea are humbled by the way DeadCoats was received in its test-state, and would love to move forward, polish it up, and create something even more amazing. No one likes playing games clogged with ads, so we’re going straight to the community of game-players and game-creation enthusiasts to fund the next step forward for the DeadCoats experience.

Now, we’re not promising the next Massively Multiplayer First-Person Competitive Shooter here, but the sky’s the limit when you put the power in the hands of the community itself. Every cent put toward funding this project will go toward making a bigger, better, and deader final product. We absolutely loved making DeadCoats, and would enjoy nothing more than creating as much content as you guys and gals want. If there’s demand for it, we’ll keep supplying.

About the Project

DeadCoats is in its test state at the moment. It was originally made to quench a creative thirst and test the boundaries of a new technology, but it quickly became more than that. Now DeadCoats is looking to become a fully-fledged game. This project (if successfully funded) will start the ball rolling. Firstly with community suggested tweaks and changes, followed by the addition of new content. Our goal is to add a humorous and interesting story, immersive levels, new weapons, robust characters, and as much zombie-blasting enjoyment as we can cram in.

As we said previously: the sky’s the limit. There are many ways to show your support for DeadCoats, but every little bit helps. Betsy Ross, Stars of Lethal Lead and a Heart of Gold – New Character 

Iconic woman of America, and strong symbol of the Revolution, Betsy Ross shows she can do a hell of a lot more than sew as she lends her deadly precision and sharpened throwing-stars to the cause. Ben Franklin and George Washington have one more ally in their fight against the DeadCoats. 

Founding Fathers are now the Founding Family! Men & women of the Revolution, standing against tyranny and the walking dead.

Henry Knox revolutionizes the Hand-Cannon - New Character

Henry Knox was well known as the first United States Secretary of War. He was a very close personal friend of George Washington, an artillery enthusiast, and had manufacturing facilities that gave valuable arms to America in it's time of war. But much lesser known are the valuable arms that Henry Knox invented and the burdened himself with as he joined Ben Franklin, George Washington, and Betsy Ross in their fight against the forces of Hell.

He's practicing his unalienable right to bear arms. CANNON ARMS THAT IS!
