   I have been selected out of a group of 100 students to show my first fashion collection EVER at Mercedes Benz Fashion week at the Lincoln Center in New York and  also to show a collection at the Dominicana Moda of Santo Domingo Dom. Rep.  I come from a  very humble background, and my dream is becoming a reality right here in New York City. This is an opportunity of a life time and you can be there with me holding me and carrying me. Who would've told me that I would be doing the New York Fashion Week? But with your support it will be the starting point of my wonderful career as a fashion designer.  I need materials like fabric, zippers, trims, and many other items to complete the looks and to make a big impression. Only you can make this happen, being there with me in this amazing journey, an opportunity that can change my life forever and the lives of many people.

  I grew up in a small rural town in the Northeast part of the Dominican Republic, where after my 9th birthday I came to Newark, New Jersey  to live with my parents, it was Sept 10, 2001. The change of environment was very difficult for me to get use to, I was very sad, and afraid all the time, I though was never going to make it through, but I found the courage and as soon as I finish high school I moved to New York City, to peruse my childhood dream of becoming a fashion Designer. I've had to fight every step of the way to get to the point where I am at because of bullying, and even recently went through two very risky surgeries in and around my neck area because of it. I felt really scared but now I feel lucky, happy and grateful that I can look back at my troubles and say that I am on my way to a better future, but now I need your support to be able to make a mark at the Mercedes Benz New York Fashion week at the Lincoln Center.

I am currently working on my first collection for my first New York Fashion Week. I'm doing everything by myself; I illustrate, make patterns, drape, cut and sew all of my garments all on my own. I'm always looking to make the perfect garment to fill my expectations which are always very high. I like my clothes to look modern, chic and well put together for a strong, powerful, and fun woman that knows what she wants and how to get it.
