Re-experience a Classic

These original-designed, plastic, game pieces measure 3CM and are compatible with a full retail copy of Klaus Teuber's Settlers of Catan.

Each set consists of five (5) Medieval Settlements and (4) Medieval Cities. There are six available colors; red, green, blue, white, brown, and orange. When you pledge for multiple sets you will have the option to select a different color for each set upon success of the project.

When designing new and compatible game pieces there are two goals I bear in mind:
1.) Added realism or thematic experience
As stated on my blog "[My] goal is to develop products that draw you deeper into the thematic experience of your multimedia by stimulating your senses through new means of projecting perceived realism". By designing more visually appealing game pieces I hope to draw you further into the game world you are exploring.
2.) Maintain mechanics of the original pieces/game
If special rules or exceptions are needed to make my pieces work with a particular game and as a result disrupt the flow of play, then I have created a project that detracts from the original work of art. The pieces must assimilate as seamlessly as possible to make introducing them a rewarding experience; not a chore for yourself or your gaming friends.

Expecting Much More

Achieving my goal of $1500 (approximately 60 backers) will demonstrate that there is enough of an interest in this product to pursue producing these pieces on a larger scale. As it stands, at the time of this project launch, the Medieval Settlement is 100% complete and the Medieval City is 3D modeled and awaiting to be 3D printed.

With the funds I will be able to complete the Medieval City and enact my "large-scale" production process by purchasing additional resin & dye and enough materials to construct a vacuum chamber. The vacuum chamber, in conjunction with a pump, will be used to eliminate the unsightly holes and decapitated trees as seen in the following photo.

Furthermore, through your support of this project you are not only providing an incentive for me to produce these pieces, but to continue with potential, future pieces to compliment your set(s) of Medieval Settlements and Cities. Among these future pieces include Medieval Walls and Medieval City Improvements designed to work in tandem with your Medieval Settlements and Cities.

It is the purchaser's, of Nathaniel Custom's Medieval Settlement and City, responsibility to ensure that whatever entertainment medium that they choose to utilize said game pieces with, they own a legal, full-retail copy of said medium. However, if your plan is to put them on display in your throne room then all you'll need is either a glass-door cabinet, end table, shelf, shoe rack, ottoman, throw rug...
