Our Kickstarter project is to share our beautiful and amazing art created from nature as well as our paintings, sculptures, collages and other forms of art with the world; we're hoping that through Kickstarter, more people will be able to see and collect our wonderful art and be inspired by it. We have created so much art because we are so passionate about it, that our home is filled to overflowing with our creations; we definitely want to share this abundance of creativity with the world. We have so many more ideas for beautiful art that we want to create.....we need to make room for new pieces.
Our unusual Treehouse, our main work of art for our project is made completely from nature: flowers, branches, moss, leaves, driftwood, shells, stones and other fascinating materials. The Treehouse, which we created in 1993 when we lived in Washington state, is 5' x 4' and has 14 rooms, all embellished with little furniture, dishes, books, sculptures and other amazing details, also all created from nature. The Treehouse is very different architecturally, with odd angles, hidden rooms and hideaways, stairways that waunder in different directions, garden rooms, balconies, etc. This enchanting work of art is an architectural wonder, a tribute to the beauty of nature and an incredible creation of imagination and child-like wonder.
Everywhere that people see this amazing, magical creation, they are totally moved by it's intricacy, detail and beauty and are very intrigued by it. People from Europe, Asia, Australia, Canada and many other countries who have seen our amazing Treehouse in person here in the U.S. have all wished that we could bring this inspiring creation to their part of the world. We love sharing this beautiful work of art with others and that is why we are doing this Kicktarter project, to give more people an opportunity to see how nature can be created into art and art can be imaginative, unique and inspiring. We would love to be able to take our Treehouse to other countries to share it the people there as it would be so wonderful to show it more to the world.
We also are sharing the beautiful little furniture pieces that we create from nature as well as rewards for our project; they are very enchanting and amazing, too. Ranging from 2' tall to 8" tall and also made from natural materials as well as found objects, these pieces express the joy of childhood, amazing imagination and a sense of whimsy that is truely surprising. We have many wonderful rewards related to our nature art as well as our other art such as paintings, sculptures, collages and other creations. As we created art strictly from nature for over six years, when we started painting, sculpting and working in other mediums, including film, we found that we were still being profoundly influenced by nature and that it had changed the way we looked at life. The beauty in nature is very moving and truely touches one's soul.
Because of our love of nature and art, it is important to us to make each reward unique, one-of-a-kind and beautiful so that each person who pledges to our project will feel they have been given something truely unusual. We are very grateful for your support for our project; your appreciation of our art will inspire us to create even more amazing and wonderful pieces. Our reward goal is somewhat low, only because we want everyone who pledges to our project to be able to receive their rewards, but we would really like to raise a great deal of funds as we have many things we would like to do with all of our Art, such as participate in art shows around the country so more people can see our beautiful art, build a Nature Art Museum with our Treehouses and other pieces and also do a traveling art exhibit of our Nature Art. We would also love to be able to make more films using our art but would need better equipment to produce them. We would also love to take our nature creations to Europe and other countries and we would like to work with children (which we have a lot of experience in) and teach them art as well! So there are many other projects we'd like to do as artists. Your positive and energetic support of our Kickstarter project would truely enable us to develope our Nature Art and our other art forms to a much higher and more creative level, which we have been working towards for the past 21 years. We have had some success as artists so far but would really like to reach the other wonderful goals and dreams we've had for such a long time!
Along with our dream to show our Nature Art to people in other countries, we have always wanted to build Treehouses, somewhat similar to the ones in our videos, in other countries, working with the people in each country, utilizing the natural materials there and then find a suitable musuem or other place to exhibit the Treehouses in the countries we go to. So, your support of our project could ultimately propel our amazing Nature Art to inspire and bless many people around the world, which would definitely be a real dream come true for us and could bring happiness to a lot of people!

And lastly, for our shipping charges, they are listed at the bottom of the page for each item on our Etsy shops. Mike and I have been artists for the last 21 years. We began creating our art in Washington state where the beauty of nature was truely an inspiration for us. The trees, the mountains, even the rain, really moved us to be creative. We also loved gardening and were very inspired by the plants, the flowers and the beauty of our gardens. We began our art career by creating art from nature, making small, intricate furniture from twigs, flowers, moss, leaves, etc. We later created houses, characters and sculptural works from nature and really began to see how nature is art all on it's own.
Our work has been exhibited and sold in many shops, galleries and museums in the U.S. and has been featured in many books and magazines as well. But, we are always so excited to share our Nature Art with more people as it really touches us to see how people are really moved by our work. We especially enjoy teaching classes on our Nature Art and love working with children as they are so imaginative and such great artists, too.
We also work in other mediums as well: painting, sculpture, collage, photography, poetry, children's books, film and music. But we feel our Nature Art is the most unusual artwork that we do and want to share it more as it is so unique and exciting.
We have exhibited and sold our art at many art shows and festivals and have often received hundreds of orders for our Nature Art, thus giving us very concrete deadlines that we were endebted to fulfill, a goal that we enjoyed and were able to meet without any difficulty. We especially appreciate putting a great deal of sensitivity and love into each piece we create and want every work of art to be very special and unqiue, so it is important to us that people who see our beautiful artwork are totally happy with it. That is why Kickstarter was so exciting to us as it gives us a chance to really shine as artists and create wonderful works of art for everyone who wants to collect it.
We are very inspired to be artists; one of our biggest dreams is to go to Europe to work on our art and create fantastic pieces from the natural materials there. We also want to make more films with our art and keep developing our creativity and imagination as there is no limit to the art that can be created from nature.
