My name is Natasha Lillipore. I recently moved to Los Angeles, California in pursuit of being a professional artist. I came up with the idea to do a zine so people who can't afford to purchase artwork can still own it in a full color, portable package of fun. I've been an artist my entire life, studying everything from basic drawing to fine art. I've had a few blogs over the course of a few years now, where I like to promote my art, as well as my creative friends and other like minded individuals.

Chunktopia will be my first zine, including paintings, comics and interactive puzzles. I would like to include one or two guest artists as well! If this zine goes well, I would like to make Chunktopia a quarterly publication where I could feature more artists. Eventually I would like to collaborate my art with clothing as well!

The money that would be raised for the zine will go towards printing and publishing costs. I want to do a full color publication; Color is everything in my work, and I want people to be able to feel like they own mine and the guest artist actual work, rather than just a few black and white copies.

My own artwork is very much inspired by color, texture, imagination, children and all things cute. I came up the my characters, Chubub Girls, one night while doodling with my boyfriend. I live vicariously through each one of the girls, dancing on rainbows and eating sexy cheese burgers. Chubub's live in a fantasy land of ice cream and glitter, showing their enthusiasm for life in their bright, bubbly eyes. As well as the Chubub Girls, I have a serious of short comics and fun interactive puzzles to include in the zine. I use a number of different mediums including acrylic, watercolor, micron pens, glitter, stickers, fabric, modeling clay and gouache.

With your help I would hope to make my dreams become a reality! I have a lot of fun rewards for anyone that donates and I truly appreciate all of the support! Being able to publish this zine would be a huge step for me. Art has always been my passion, my friend and my life, so having the opportunity to share it with others would mean the world to me.
