I want to thank everyone that contributed and helped me reach my goal! Since I've had so much interest in the project and the postcard book, I will now be printing an edition of 250 books. I need to raise an additional $1500 to make this happen, so please keep spreading the word! The more press for the show and the more books out there, the more people see these portraits and start to understand that same-sex couples are just like everyone else and deserve the right to be married.

This past May 17th was the 8th anniversary of same-sex marriage in Massachusetts. Rhode Island also had an eventful week for marriage equality. On Monday, May 14th, Governor Chafee signed an executive order directing departments and agencies to recognize the marriages of Rhode Island’s same-sex couples. Just a few days prior to this, Senator Reed promised to support same-sex marriage and cosponsor the Respect for Marriage Act. 

For the exhibit at Yellow Peril Gallery, I have paired with Marriage Equality Rhode Island and they will receive 10% of all the proceeds from the show. Please take a look at their website and read about the important work they are doing for marriage equality.
