On 3rd and Main in Santa Ana is a corner building that once housed a classic American cafe; as evidenced now by the large retro sign above the entrance, big south-facing windows encasing the space, and great bones throughout. Little Sparrow aims to decorate the space with a look that seeks to redefine a classic bistro. Our goal is to establish Little Sparrow as truly authentic part of the Downtown Santa Ana neighborhood experience where friends and family can come together and dine.  

With gorgeous Southern California sunlight streaming in during the day, the bright and open atmosphere will attract young professionals, students, locals, and the business community for a delicious cup of coffee, fresh baked goods, an original weekend brunch, and perfectly crafted sandwiches. At night the space is transformed with warm candlelight into a hip, romantic space with sophisticated and simple dishes. And, as if this weren’t tempting enough, there’s also a hidden cocktail lounge featuring leading edge mixology and an ambience that is refined, urban, and a little bit sexy. 

We’ve termed the eatery an American bistro specializing in simple, thoughtful, and comforting food for the community. The ingredients will be carefully sourced by our chef and resident urban forager. Yes, we have an urban forager; someone who fully understands the local food movement and can source ingredients throughout Southern California.
