I'm so grateful that the TWSP West Coast Tour has been funded for a couple weeks now, and people keep learning about the project and chipping in. And yall have been awesome - great comments and notes coming in.
Now with just a week left, my hopes have been raised that there'd be a last flurry of activity that might get us to the $10,000 mark, which, as I've said, would be my cue to begin booking a research and speaking tour of the Near East - a real dream-come-true.
This morning, I woke up to find that not only had some sizable pledges come in but we're Project of the Day on Kickstarter. I think it's going to be a real good day. YES! If there were ever a day when you wanted to pass the word along to your friends about To What Strange Place, this would be the day to do it, I think.
Thanks to everyone for their support. I'm still getting my head around how well this campaign has gone. It because of the hundreds of people who have supported the project - those who donate and those who have spread the word. And those who have worked with me (Matt Bowden who made the video, Susan Archie and Chis Fairchild who designed the 3CD set and gave up the main image on the page, Josh Rosenthal at Tompkins Square who published the CD set, and so many others who've fed me stories and given me gigs along the way.)
This time next week, I'll be starting the first round of packing and shipping! wa-hoo!
