Since their first two releases "Storms/Nocturnes" (2001) and "Rising Tide" (2003), both Sirocco, Tim, Geoffrey and Joe have been collaborating on a number of different projects on both sides of the atlantic. But only recently, earlier in 2010, almost 8 years after their last public outing as a trio, have they re-gathered as Storms/Nocturnes. After just one week of touring, an overwhelming response from audiences and the sheer joy of working together again, they felt that the time was right for another recording.

Despite the difficult economic climate - especially for the arts sector - a great wave of support has since hit the guys, as soon as they announced plans to go back into the studio. A substantial amount of own investment and generous help from friends on both sides of the pond now means that this project is almost on its way.
For the final push we've decided to open up the process of making the album to a wider international audience, and share the excitement of what is to come with all of you, who have been following Tim's, Geoffrey's and Joe's careers all these years and who have become such a loyal and enthusiastic group of fans and friends.

The new music which the guys are currently writing is all based around special places in the world; locations that are meaningful to them individually and collectively. One region that is particularly close to their hearts is the Lake District in the North of England. A beautiful area which can be as much picturesque as it can be rough and mysterious. It's therefore the ideal location for the recording session.
This November will see the Storms/Nocturnes Trio gather in the hills above Ambleside, UK, at a magical place called Yewfield, for intense rehearsals and the long awaited album recording. Brand new music and fresh arrangements will be flowing into this project, echoing exciting ideas, experiences, the spirit of a long grown friendship and an enticing musical brotherhood and artistic understanding.

All three virtuosos have remained adamant that artistic freedom and control are not compromised.
