I fear that we will miss this target by a LOT. We need everyone to distribute this site to everyone you know and to pass it along.

Mynette is a New York-based independent film producer. She produced Tze Chun's CHILDREN OF INVENTION (Sundance '09, winner of 17 festival prizes) and co-produced Andrew Bujalski's MUTUAL APPRECIATION ("Top ten films of 2006"--Entertainment Weekly, Film Comment, the Village Voice, Artforum, Greencine, The Onion's AV Club, etc.).

Currently, Mynette is in post-production on Marshall Lewy's CALIFORNIA SOLO starring Robert Carlyle; Doug Karr's ART MACHINE starring Joseph Cross, Jessica Szohr, and Joey Lauren Adams; and P. Benoit's STONES IN THE SUN starring Edwidge Danticat. Additionally, Mynette is developing several narrative features, including Eric Lin's WHY WE PULL THE TRIGGER and Tze Chun's EYE OF WINTER and YOU'RE A BIG GIRL NOW, with which she was selected for the 2009 Sundance Creative Producing Fellowship. Mynette was also selected as a fellow of the 2008 Rotterdam Producers Lab and 2010 Berlinale Talent Campus.

Mynette is on the Program Advisory Board of the IFP and the Selection Advisory Committee of the Sundance Labs. Along with Tze Chun, she was named in Ted Hope's list of "21 Brave Thinkers Of Truly Free Film" for their hybrid distribution strategy for CHILDREN OF INVENTION, and she was profiled in indieWIRE’s “Futures” column, which features notable emerging talent in independent film.

Previously, Mynette served as Economic Development Specialist at the Hawaii Film Office, where she authored the state's 15-20% refundable production tax credit, oversaw the $7.3 million renovation of the state-owned film studio, and developed programs to foster local independent filmmaking. She also worked in business development at SportsIllustrated.com, market research at Internet consulting firm Jupiter Research, consumer marketing at Time Magazine, and was a book critic for aMagazine: Inside Asian America.

A native New Yorker, Mynette graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Harvard University with a B.A. in East Asian Studies, focusing on Chinese film and literature.
