We got into a big festival but don't have a way to transport equip. So we're trading tickets and seats on the van for monies.
Trip Effect is quickly becoming known as the Midwest's premiere Acoustic/Indie/Alternative/Rock band, if not the only one. This is your once in a lifetime chance to hang out with them, get to know them, and just have an all around awesome day hanging out with bunch of fun people. The mission of this N. Illinois power trio is to spread a message &/or experience and a gift. This experience the the effect of the journey/trip life takes each and every single one of us on. Now, we are inviting you to be a part of that journey as we make our way to an awesome festival, which is being headlined by the up & coming act Falling Captive! We have been branching out very quickly and spreading out playing shows all over the Midwest. Now, we are making our way all the way out to Battle Creek, MI for a big festival being put on by the awesome people at "Live, Loud & Local." This show is at Planet Rock, which is a total of 5 hours away. If the show goes well (i.e. we play well, and bring enough people with us) we will be asked to play at Rockapalooza in Jackson, MI. We are even willing to pick people up if they are anywhere on the way to Battle Creek, MI, coming from Rockford, IL. We are in some serious need of help because our cars cannot possibly handle the transport of all our equipment and our friends/fans for this show. So, by donating, you are helping us make it to our biggest show yet and therefore helping us make our dreams a reality. Not to mention, we'll give you a t-shirt if you can't go to the show for donating the minimum of $15. Our fans are truly the best fans in the world, they support us every time in the clutch and here we are in need.
We have been through a helluva lot in our years on this earth and we've fought tooth and nail to get where we're at. Further, we refuse to fail, we just need a little help getting to Battle Creek. We are also using a small portion of the donations towards having a bit of Merchandise for the show as well. We figured it would be a good idea since we have yet to put together a decent merch table. We're finally going to have T-shirts, CD's & stickers! Basically, in order to make it to the show and play we have to raise $250 just for the tickets, at least $250 to cover the cost of renting a van (so we can bring you with of course!), and at least $150 to get the t-shirts, CD's & stickers made up. We don't ask for help from our fans like this often, but right now is one of those few and far between times. So, please, if there's any way you can help us out it would be much appreciated. Obviously, we will be giving back to you in one way or another but this is very important to us and hopefully you can come enjoy the show with us. Not to mention, have one of the most fun experiences of your life; the kind of experience you'll tell your grandchildren about. Even if you can't make it onto the bus, we'll send you CD's, stickers and/or T-shirts in lieu of your attendance. This will get you a simple ticket (good for two days) to the festival and just helps us cover the baseline cost of the tickets. Should you not be able to be free on the day of the festival and are not going to use the ticket we will give you a T-shirt instead. This is the price we are paying per ticket. We would have to sell almost 90 tickets at this price to profit enough to get our equipment to the concert, haha.

This is a pretty fair price considering what we'll give you. You can actually ride in the 15 passenger van we're renting and get a ticket for this price. We will need at least 10 people to commit to riding with in order to afford the cost of renting said van. But, we'd really like to have you ride along and support us at the show... Not to mention, there are a lot of cool bands playing at the Live, Loud, & Local Festival in Battle Creek, Michigan that day (4/20/2012)! I mean who doesn't want to hang out with us on the 5 hour drive : ) The bus will be leaving in the morning, (hopefully around 10am) and festival goes all day and the following day (if you decide to stay over night). It's all ages too!
